The General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all. Peace Day provides a globally shared date for humanity to commit to peace above all differences and to contribute to building a culture. This is the day to recognize the efforts of those who have worked hard to end conflict and promote peace . To mark The International Day of peace Grade 6A has con- ducted an assembly which provide the platform for the students to showcase their talents and pro- mote peace.

Planning is the first and most important function of management. It is needed at every level of man- agement. In the absence of planning all the activities of the organization will become meaningless . In this regard students of Grade 9 to 12 were given an opportunity to select any topic of their choice based on Expo 2020 for the upcoming school exhibition and plan accordingly keeping the resources and the future needs in mind.

Sports are a crucial part of a student’s growth and development. They help in the develop- ment of mental health and physical fitness of the body. The school not only aims to improve a student’s physical abilities but also instill a sense of good sportsmanship in them. In this regard Inter House Soccer Tournament held this week for the students of Grade 6 up- wards.

AI Activity: Dream Smart Home Purpose: Icebreaker activity to get the students excited towards the AI curriculum. Students were given the opportunity to design their Dream smart Home. Students came up with different ideas. Students were able to state their opinions and then explain why they think their activity is the best.

Grade-9 Write up Students of Grade 9 identified the relationship between the angles made by the chord at the Centre of a circle and at other points on the re- maining part of the circle. They have verified the properties of chords taking circles of different radii.

Grade 9 A students did an activity on Error Correction in groups . The aim of this activity is to teach stu- dents to correct their own mistakes . Then the students have done the peer assessment . The students have learnt to identify the mistakes and correct the same . It was really an interesting activity for them and they all enjoyed the activity . Grade 10 A - Discursive Writing Activity The students of Grade 10 A have eagerly participated in this activity . Learning to write coherently , in a way suitable to one’s purpose and audience , is clearly a very difficult task .However , writing is a valuable Skill , one which is worth all the classroom time spent on it . The students learnt to write and assess their writing skill.

Students internalize a topic when given a chance to pre- sent what they have written. Grade 11 and 12 Students presented their answers to the value based questions being asked dur- ing their English periods. They first wrote their point of view and then elaborated the same in front of their classmates. The activity helped them assess their own learning and boost their speaking and commu- nication skills.

Subject: French Le plaisir de lire Comprehension strategies are conscious plans — sets of steps that good readers use to make sense of text. Comprehension strategy instruction helps students become purposeful, active readers who are in con- trol of their own reading comprehension. Subject: Arabic Students of Grade 10 learnt to prepare Salads and write the method of preparation in Arabic.

Subject: Science Students did an experiment to study the structure of seed. They explored each part of a seed to view its structure. They learnt how does an embryo get protected inside a seed. They have examined the tiny hole through which air and water enters inside the seed, so that the embryo will get enough air and wa- ter to germinate.

Subject: Science CHEMISTRY : Students of grade 9 reviewed and retained information about the modern periodic table and highlighted the key concepts of arrangement of elements in the periodic table. Students were able to apply critical thinking and creativity skills. CHEMISTRY : Grade 11 students experimentally analyzed the given salt and from the observations they were able to predict the nature of the salt and the ions present in it.

Subject: Social Studies Grade 9A and 9G Activity: Group Discussion Topic: “Is independent judiciary important in a democracy?” The students actively participated in the discussion which helped them recognize the need for independent judiciary in a country. They were able to explain the role of judges and the Supreme Court as impartial in imparting justice to the society. The activity enabled them to think critically and created awareness about the existing judicial system.
