İZMİR

EPHESUS ANCIENT CITY Ephesus is located near the western shores of modern-day Turkey, where the Aegean Sea meets the former estuary of the River Kaystros, about 80 kilometers south of Izmir, Turkey.

THE HOUSE OF VIRGIN MARY The house of Virgin Mary is located on Mount Nigtingale in the vicinity of Ephesus, 7 kilometres from Selçuk, İzmir in Turkey

THE AGORA The agora of Izmir, Turkey, was built in the period of Alexander the Great. Razed to the ground by an earthquake in 178 AD, it was rebuilt under the reign of the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius.

GEZGİN 05 KADİFEKALE Kadifekale (literally \"the velvet castle\" in Turkish) is a hilltop castle in İzmir, Turkey. The castle is located on the Mount Pagos which has an elevation of 186 metres. It was built in the 3rd century The castle is located at a distance of about 2 km from the shoreline and commands a general view of a large part of the city of İzmir.

GULF OF İZMİR/ İZMİR KÖRFEZİ The Gulf of İzm r, formerly known as the Gulf of Smyrna, s a gulf on the Aegean Sea, w th ts nlet between the Karaburun Pen nsula and the ma nland area of Foça. It s 64 k lometres n length by 32 k lometres n breadth, w th an excellent anchorage. The c ty of İzm r, an mportant port c ty of Turkey, surrounds the end of the gulf.

ASANSÖR/ELEVATOR Asansör is a historical building in İzmir. It was built in 1907 as a work of public service. The elevator within the building serving to carry people and goods through the steep cliff between the two parts of the quarter.

BOZDAĞ/ ÖDEMİŞ - İZMİR Bozdağ is in Ödemiş. It is 112 far from İzmir. You can go skiing in Winter. The Bozdağ mountain is 2157 km high. It is a beautiful place to do winter sport.

ALAÇATI Alaçatı is a part of İzmir on the Western coast of Turkey, often noted for its architecture, vineyards, windmills. Alaçatı is one of the most traditional towns in Turkey with stone houses, narrow streets, boutique hotels and restaurants with tables on the streets. The area is also home to the Alaçatı yacht marina and the famous Port Alaçatı development, created by the French architect Francois Spoerry and his son, Yves Spoerry

ÇEŞME Çeşme is a coastal town and the administrative centre of the district of the same name in Turkey's westernmost end, It is a popular holiday resort and the district center, where two thirds of the district population is concentrated. Çeşme is located 85 km west of İzmir, the largest metropolitan center in Turkey's Aegean Region.
