CHAPTER 1: HISTORY
PETRONAS GAS BERHAD (PGB) was incorporated as a private limited company on 23 May 1983 under the Companies Act, 1905 of Malaysia and converted to a public limited company on 28 March 1995. FIGURE 4: Visit to the PETRONAS Twin Towers, The company operates six Gas Processing Kuala Lumpur, 13 May 1999. Plants (GPP) which process natural gas feed ACCESSION NO: 2010/0004229W from the fields offshore the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Four of these plants are located in Kertih and two are in Terengganu. The planned combined sales gas production capacity of 2000 million standard cubic feet per day. The sales gas produced is transmitted via 2,383 km Peninsular Gas Utilisation (PGU) pipelines to end-users in the power, industrial, and commercial sectors.

Processed Gas Undergone various treatments and purification processes to remove impurities and contaminants. It is used in various applications, including residential heating, electricity generation, industrial processes, and as a feedstock for the production of chemicals and fertilizers. Gassing Up and Cooling Down \"Gassing up\" refers to filling a system with a specific gas, while \"Cooling down\" involves reducing the temperature of a system or material. LNG Bunkering Provides an alternative to traditional marine fuels, enabling ships and vessels to reduce their emissions and comply with stricter environmental regulations. Virtual Pipeline System Involves the use of specialized equipment and transportation methods to deliver gas from a source to end-users.

CHAPTER 4: CONTROVERSIES & CRITICISM
PETRONAS VS. SEARS TOWER CONTROVERSY In 1996, the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, challenged the long-standing title of \"World's Tallest Building\" held by the Sears Tower (now Willis Tower) in Chicago since 1974. The Council for Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), responsible for determining building heights, declared that the Petronas Towers, measuring 451.9 meters/1,483 feet from sidewalk to the top of their spires, were the new world champions. FIGURE 10: Petronas White Angpow. PETRONAS WHITE ANGPOW 2018 CONTROVERSY In Chinese custom, white angpows are used for giving donations for funerals only. It is considered very insensitive and rude to give white angpows during Chinese New Year or any celebrations for Chinese custom. Because there is a word of ‘prosperity’, this white angpow can’t used for funeral. After the posts got viral, Petronas Malaysia offered official apology about the white angpow controversy.
WAR CRIMES ALLEGATIONS IN SUDAN FIGURE 11: Sudan representative. The European Coalition on Oil in Sudan (ECOS) published a report in 2010, alleging that PETRONAS, Lundin Petroleum, and OMV may have been complicit in war crimes and crimes against humanity while operating in Block 5A, South Sudan The reported crimes included indiscriminate attacks on civilians, burning of shelters, pillaging, destruction of essential objects, unlawful killings, rape, abduction, torture, and forced displacement.

The award that was organized by Brandon Hall Group, the leader in recognizing Human Capital Management Excellence. This award demonstrates PETRONAS' commitment to demonstrating the use of technology that has benefited the workforce, and it is part of PETRONAS' initiative to develop talents by providing opportunities to grow through innovations for a sustainable future.
PUTRA BRAND AWARDS Gold Award in Automotive Fuel, Lubricant and Accessories Gold Award for Education and Learning PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad (PDB) was awarded Gold in the Automotive Fuel, Lubricant, and Accessories category for the 12th time in a row at the Putra Brand Awards. This shows that PETRONAS has consistently been chosen by customers and demonstrates the brand's customers' ongoing confidence and trust over the years. Furthermore, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) has received its first Gold Award for Education and Learning as one of the region's leading universities. As the Putra Brand Awards jury is made up of 11000 Malaysian consumers, this is a testament and reflection that UTP is recognized as a consumer's choice of brand among other universities in higher education.
CSR CHINA EDUCATION AWARDS FIGURE 13: CSR China Education Awards. CSR China SDG Special Award CSR China Public Recognition Special Award CSR China TOP 100 Rank PETRONAS China received three awards in the CSR China Education Award for a series of activities aimed at the youth in 2022, including a speech competition, educational workshop, and social practices. The CSR China Education Award focuses on policy issues such as rural education revitalization, youth growth and development, ecological civilization and environmental education, carbon emission reduction, and carbon neutrality. This is a significant acknowledgement of PETRONAS CSR efforts in China, as well as spreading PETRONAS sustainability agenda and NZCE 2050 aspirations, and stimulating these young minds towards a net zero carbon future through creative and self-expression capabilities.
CONCLUSION PETRONAS, a government-owned company operating as an oligopoly, supplies petroleum, and gas to the nation. It has achieved significant growth both domestically and internationally, expanding its markets beyond Asia to countries like Egypt in Africa. The company's profitability has positively impacted the country's economy. In addition to its core focus on petroleum and gas, PETRONAS collaborates with other sectors, particularly education, by providing sponsorship and loans to students in need. It has also established educational institutions to enhance the quality of education and contribute to national development. Furthermore, PETRONAS engages in the entertainment market as a major sponsor of the newly-formed Mercedes Grand Prix and the Malaysian Grand Prix.
