UNLOCKING LONGEVITY WITH THE KEY TO CELLULAR HEALTH 17 HEALTHSPAN FAQs JINFINITI PRECISION MEDICINE

WHAT IS NAD? NAD is found in all living cells, from single-cell organisms to complex, multicellular systems like those in primates. It helps convert food to energy. It plays a crucial role in maintaining DNA integrity, helping repair damages to prevent cancer. It helps regulate our body’s sleep/wake cycle through its effect on circadian rythmn. Our cells’ ability to create energy depend upon it. It transports electrons from molecule to molecule within the cells. NAD is what we at Jinfiniti call a “Foundational Supplement.” Without it, other supplements and nutrients cannot do their work and we would quickly stop functioning as human beings. NAD stands for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide. It is a coenzyme, and, as mentioned above, is found in all living cells. Along with the functions already cited, it also helps get rid of aging (senescent) cells*, improves mitochondrial function, and supports the reduction of inflammation and free radicals. NAD catalyzes reactions for more than 500 enzymes, including those involved in the production of cellular energy (ATP). Deficient NAD levels are linked to a loss of function, vitality, and increased the risk of developing age- related diseases.

Different terms are used for NAD. NAD+ is the oxidized form of NAD. When NAD+ is reduced, it becomes NADH, which carries electrons to the electron transport chain to generate ATP, the energy currency of the cell. Both NADH and NAD+ are important for optimal cellular function, but NAD+ is the more active form that participates in many biochemical reactions. NAD was Initially discovered in 1906, but it has seen an uptick in research that continues to show its importance in cell function and health benefits. Dr. Jin-Xiong She, Founder and Chief Medical Officer for Jinfiniti Precision Medicine, left a prestigious career as an academic, Professor, Diabetes expert, genomic scholar, and successful businessman, to focus his talents exclusively on the study and development of ways to better understand and optimize this abundant and crucial molecule. Once he fully understood that without enough of this linchpin molecule we would be on the fast track to disease and death, he knew that his mission to help people extend their healthspan needed to center around NAD. To further our understanding and better address the body’s need for NAD, he developed the world’s only commercially-avaialble test for intracellular NAD.

WHAT ARE THE SIGNS OF LOW NAD LEVELS?  The most common signs include chronic fatigue, lack of energy, poor performance, lack of mental clarity, sleeping issues, and poor health in general. However, you may not show any symptoms while your NAD levels are already low.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO OPTIMIZE NAD LEVELS? The most efficient way is through oral supple- mentation with NAD precursors - building blocks that our cells use to make the NAD molecule. The main NAD precursors on the market include nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) and nic- otinamide riboside (NR). Our data indicate that NMN, especially our Accuri® Vitality Boost, is the most efficient way to raise NAD levels and gain many functional benefits.

WHAT ARE THE POTENTIAL BENEFITS OF OPTIMIZING NAD LEVELS?  NAD optimization is the first step to better health and longevity. There are numerous benefits, including increased energy, better sleep, improved performance, reduction in muscle and joint pains, enhanced immunity against infections, reduced inflammation, reduction in insulin resistance, clearer mental clarity, and improved liver and heart function. Actual benefits may vary from person to person, and individual health conditions may influence impact.

Better sleep is just one of the many benefits of optimizing nad levels.

DOES NICOTINIC ACID (NA) OR NIC- OTINAMIDE (NAM) INCREASE NAD? The answer to this question is complicated. Nicotinamide (NAM), also known as niacinamide or sometimes called niacin by some, is a very inefficient NAD precursor. Clinical trials have shown that NAM can modestly increase NAD levels in some individuals. However, it does not increase NAD levels at all in many users and only increase NAD to the optimum levels in a tiny fraction of the tested individuals. Nicotinic acid (NA), commonly called niacin, does not significantly increase NAD levels in most people but we have found extremely high and potentially harmful levels of NAD (>150μM) in a few individuals using high dose of niacin (500-2000mg daily). Niacin users should measure their NAD levels using our NAD test to find out whether their NAD levels are too low or too high.

CAN I PURCHASE NAD SUPPLEMENTS FROM ANY VENDOR?  There are many different products, brands, and delivery routes. The products on the market are extremely variable in terms of efficacy, much of which has not been tested in clinical studies. Furthermore, a product that works well for one person may not work for others. You should find out whether your chosen product works for you by testing your NAD levels.

DON’T GUESS. TEST!

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TEST MY NAD LEVELS? It usually takes only 2-4 weeks for the supplements to raise your NAD. It’s ideal to take a NAD test before starting a NAD optimization program. Then, to make sure that your chosen product is working, we advise another test at about the four-week mark. Once your NAD is optimized, you only need to test again 2-3 times a year. You may need to test with different regularity if your health status has significantly changed, or you have changed the types and dosage of NAD products, or other supplements, medicines, or lifestyle.

All adults should take a NAD test to help determine whether their NAD level is within the8o8p.9timum range or if supplementation is needed. If you μaMlready take N7μ4AM.D6 supplements or other products, a test will help determine whether or not they are working for you, and help you decide if you should change the product or dosage for better NAD optimization. This is essential because most NAD products on the market do not work as intended or cannot optimize NAD levels in most individuals.

Fig. 1: Intravenous infusion of NAD+ (5 sessions of 750mg) does not increase intracellular NAD levels. In contrast, oral supplementation with 2000mg of Vitality Boost (2 scoops) for four weeks optimized NAO levels in 7 of 8 indi- viduals and significantly boosted NAO in the other individual.

DOES IV INFUSION OF NAD+ INCREASE NAD LEVELS?  The short answer is NO. Our clinical studies (Fig. 1) and data from consumers unambiguously demonstrate that intravenous infusion of NAD+ does not increase NAD levels at all. There are potentially multiple reasons for this observation. First, the amount of infused NAD+ and the frequencies of infusion do not provide sufficient NAD+. Second, NAD+ is rapidly (within hours) degraded in the blood stream. Third, the NAD+ molecule is too big to get inside the cells. Therefore, NAD+ infusion is not the right choice for most consumers who wish to increase energy, performance, or longevity extension due to the high cost, lack of efficacy and potential side effects including rapid increase of C-reactive protein (CRP) after infusion in some 70% of customers. However, iv infusion of NAD+ could be an useful treatment for certain conditions and diseases including some neurological and infectious diseases.

DOES SUB- CUTANEOUS INJECTION OF NAD+ ELEVATE NAD LEVELS? Subcutaneous (SubQ) injection of NAD+ can modestly elevate NAD levels but rarely increase it to the optimum levels for maximum benefits (Fig. 2). The efficacy certainly depends on the dosage and frequency of injection. It is advised that SubQ users of NAD+ check their NAD levels to determine whether their protocol is working for them. Due to the high cost, invasive nature of injections, and insufficient efficacy for SubQ NAD+, it is much better to use oral NAD precursors to optimize NAD levels.

NAD SUPPLEMENT TEST RESULTS SIDE EFFECTS DETECTED: NONE

ARE THERE SIDE EFFECTS OR HEALTH RISKS TO TAKING NAD SUPPLEMENTS?  There are no known side effects associated with taking safe dosages of high-quality NAD supplements. We rec- ommend caution for patients with active cancer because it is currently unknown whether NAD supplements are beneficial or harmful to cancer patients.

AT WHAT AGE DO NAD LEVELS BEGIN TO DECLINE? For many, NAD levels experience a sharp decline around thirty years of age. Roughly 25% of very young individuals also have suboptimal or defi- cient NAD levels. The vast majority of people in their 40’s and older are deficient in NAD. The best way to determine whether you need to elevate NAD levels is by taking a Jinfiniti NAD test, the first and only NAD test available to doctors and customers.

AT WHAT AGE SHOULD I BEGIN TO TAKE NAD SUPPLEMENTS?  The proportion of people with NAD deficiencies increases with age. Some young children already have suboptimal NAD levels and require NAD supplementation. There is no upper age limit to NAD supplementation. There is very limited available data on the safety of NMN in children. Our own experience indicates that NMN is very safe for very young children although the dosage should be pro- portionally reduced based on body weight. We recommend testing NAD levels before considering NAD supplementation for children.

WILL I FEEL DIFFERENT OR BETTER ONCE I HAVE OPTIMIZED MY NAD LEVELS?

DOES IT INTERFERE WITH MY CURRENT VITAMIN REGIMEN?  NAD supplements may improve the efficacy of other supplements. Some people who are taking large doses of vitamin B3 (Niacin), a form of NAD precursors, may have high levels of NAD and do not need to take other NAD precursors. Testing for NAD levels will help decide whether extra NAD supplementation is needed and how much. Most people taking our Accuri® Vitality Boost feel a clear difference. The improvement may be immediate or may take 2-3 months, depending on each individual’s health condition. Generally, people who have severely deficient NAD levels and have increased their NAD to above 50µM (mi- cromolar) notice clear improvements. However, people who already have relatively high NAD levels, and/or who do not have any specific com- plaints, may or may not experience a noticeable difference.

WHAT ARE ZOMBIE CELLS AND HOW CAN NAD HELP?  Senescence is a biological process in which cells stop di- viding and enter a state of permanent growth arrest. This is a natural process that occurs as we age and is thought to be a protective mechanism that helps prevent the development of cancer. However, as we get older, the ac- cumulation of senescent cells can contribute to a variety of age-related diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, and neurodegenerative diseases.

“Zombie” cells, also known as senescent cells, are cells that have entered a state of senescence but have not been cleared by the body. These cells can accumulate in tissues and organs and secrete harmful substances that contribute to chronic inflammation and tissue damage. This can lead to a variety of age-related diseases and can accelerate the aging process. Of interest to the NAD supplement community are the cur- rent explorations into the link between NAD and controlling or eliminating Zombie cells. This is a controversial topic and we’ll continue our research into this important connection.

HOW DO I TAKE ACCURI® VITALITY BOOST? WHAT TIME OF DAY? WITH OR WITHOUT FOOD?  The Jinfiniti NAD supplement, Accuri® Vitality Boost, is a pow- der that can easily be dissolved in water. The powder form is preferred because it does not contain any other substances or fillers that are normally used to make capsules, and the dosage can be adjusted easily. Simply dissolve the desired amount of powder in room temperature water and drink it slowly. Keeping the solution in the mouth for 30-60 seconds for each sip can
