INTRODUCTION The Sacrament of Penance, also being called the Sacrament of Reconciliation or Confession, is one of the seven holy observances of the Catholic Church as referred to in Eastern Christianity as holy secrets, in which the unwavering are acquitted from sins submitted after sanctification and they are accommodated with the Christian people group. Penance is required in order to restore the State of Grace and become worthy of Christ's Body; and the Eucharist is required in order to obtain an abundance of Actual Grace and prevent relapsing into sin.
