ZENGO Live Creatively. Give Freely OUR MISSION Our mission is simple: create products that are unique, sustainable, and come from a collaboration of women partnering together for change. With over 25 years of experience in both retail and wholesale ventures, Bops is dedicated to using a portion of its profits to teach practical skills to women to help start and sustain their own businesses. Whether it’s working with locals in Louisiana or teaching new skills abroad, it’s our passion to raise the next generation of female leaders. 2
WHY WE DO IT We are so proud of the progress of the Bops Sewing School in India that has graduated 260 women to date. Each graduate receives a pedal sewing machine upon graduation that allows them to provide for their families entirely from their new trade. It is our hope that paying it forward really is contagious and that others are inspired just as our Bops family is. We strive to give because we’ve been given so much. HOW WE GIVE BACK Bops products are sourced in Nepal, India, China, and the United States specifically from family-owned factories, women’s cooperatives, or individuals working from home. Partnering in this way allows for us to insert an economic boost directly into families and create jobs that might otherwise not be created. 3

INDIA SEWING PROGRAM INDIA SEWING PROGRAM As a woman owned and run company, we want to do all we can to raise up the next generation of women leaders. Our mission is simple: to encourage women in impoverished communities to become entrepreneurs so they can use their God-given skills to provide for their own. Since 2005, we have graduated 260+ women from our BOPS Sewing Program in Rajahmundry, India. The program spans a full year, is limited to 20 students a year and uses a government standard sewing curriculum that is multi-faceted and comprehensive. Nearly all of these women are now supporting themselves with a sewing income with the help of a pedal sewing machine that we provide upon their graduation. The co-op enables women from urban villages in India to have the opportunity to make a fair wage by creating high-quality, unique pieces. The group also helps educate their children & helps with medical expenses. Over 500 women are currently part of the co-op! This jewelry is made by individually hand-wrapping each wooden bead with up-cycled fabrics from all over India.
