Genet. Larry is a Miami Beach native who now lives in Hollywood with his wife, Jessica, and their two children, Michael and Eliana, who attend the Susan and Saul Singer Early Childhood Learning Center. During Laurie’s tenure as vice chair, she and DPJCC past president Amy Rosenberg, along with the Philanthropy Department, launched JPillars, an annual campaign, and re-established the JLegacy program. Laurie looks forward to working with Larry to expand contributions to the J that support its programs and services.Laurie Suskind Larry W. GenetANNUAL RACQUETBALL TOURNAMENT —Susan & Paul Suid A Real“Name-Changer”Racquetball Center Love of Sport and JCC Spurs Donation Susan Suid, a longtime member of the JCC board of directors and past vice chair of sports and wellness, said her life is all about family, racquetball and the JCC. During this year’s annual racquetball tournament, Susan combined all three parts of her life when she and her husband, Paul, named the JCC’s racquetball facility the Susan and Paul Suid Racquetball Center. Tournament Marks 10 Years This year, the DPJCC Racquetball Tournament sold out within two days of announcing the start of registration and welcomed 151 players—the most players ever. This year also marked the 10th anniversary of this popular, fast-action competition. Susan Suid along with her co-chairperson Rick Bernstein pioneered the DPJCC’s tournament, which now draws players from across the nation. The tournament is sanctioned and the players receive USRA points in lieu of payment, because it is a fundraiser for DPJCC programs and scholarships. Only Indoor Tournament in South Florida “We are the only indoor tournament in South Florida,” Susan Suid said. “I personally think the biggest draw is our cooking-on-the-grill by Harvey Bernstein. He is the tournament’s longtime, 80-year-old grill-master,” she said. “Harvey creates a ‘weekend tailgate’ experience that everyone loves.”Paul & Susan Suid Paul Suid, Susan Suid & Rick Bernstein

There are very few places that provide programs for both youth and adults; have a preschool and an after-school program; offer cultural and educational events; servehot meals every weekday to senior citizens; have one of the “top” work out facilities in the South Florida area; provide programs for special needs adults and youth; and offer a variety of eight-weeksummer camps. The film documented the extraordinary lives of Hans and Margret Rey, Sandra Gottlieb, Randi Gellibertthe creators behind this beloved character.This program was dedicated to the memory of another beloved George – George Gottlieb, aHolocaust survivor who helped develop the JCC’s Holocaust Learning Center, which is named inmemory of Mania Nudel, mother of Dr. Jack Nudel.George Gottlieb, who passed away in March of 2017, educated countless students on the Holocaustand the danger in forgetting about this horrific event.
