No, this is not the Olympics. This torch was used to light the \"H\"at the Homecoming rally. There was some trouble with wind at the candle cer- emony which prevented its quick lighting. Aaah, citrus! Ryan Gagon and Emily Thygerson tried to keep balance while bitting an orange on Homecoming week. It was particularly hard to keep balance because they were standing on blocks of ice. It's not only love... Ever wonder? What Candace Waguespack does in her spare time? Here'sshe's shakingit for Swing Club at the homecoming queen assembly. Robin Hood is rewarded with akiss. Jeff Jackson and Stacy Kay locked lips during homecoming week. Some candidates were squemish about this activity and chose to give onlyapeck on the cheek. United we stand. Josh Savage, Greg Black, Shawn Kojima, Dustin Nesbit, Grant Smith, and Blake Hansen took a walk across the field and got the student body excited for the new season. This event occurred at the burning of the \"H\"pep rally. The name of the game is \"guess the superhero.\" Toga, toga. toga! Scott Hughes is \"Lost in time\" What a fashion statement. The candidates undertook a variety of activities during lunches all week, such as a tug of war and a kissing contest. The general student bodyalso got to take part by participating in a number of spirit days. The week began with hat dayand moved on to pajama/crazyhair day.Wednes- day made students \"Lost in Time\" while on Thursday theycame as their favorite superhero. \"It was so awesome to have Hillcrest fi- nally win a Homecoming game,\" said Senior Andrea Candrian. Hillcrest beat Brighton 18-0. Se- nior Audrey Maynard thought, \"Joining in on Spirit Week and going to the Homecoming foot- ball game made me feel apart of a special group of people.\" That's talent! Senior Suzanna ~ Han en said her most embarrasing mo- ~ ment was dancing, ''I'm a soccer player ~ and wasn't meant to da nce.\" Queen for a day: .. , Dont be afraid, it's only love.\" The Homecoming queen canidates were definately not afraid to show their enthusiasm throughout Home- coming Week. \"The assembly was a lot of fun , and I loved the parade,\" said candidate Cami Heywood. Stacey Young's most embarrasing moment was in the dressing room after the assembly. \"I pulled my dress up over my head and it would not come off. I had forgotten that I pinned the strapes of my dress to my bra!\" Other than being scared they wouldn't get asked to the dance, many had dreamed of being involved as a queen for years. \"It was awesome be- ing included in this event,\" said Stacey Young, \"It made me feel special and I got to kiss Chris Furstenau.\" High chool Perfect. Coming up with a theme is a lot harder than you might think.
