Festivals which were supposed to relieve stress and give an individual a break from the daily routine are becoming a major cause of stress among the common people. Today the meaning of festivals has changed from what it was a few years ago. In olden times festivals meant happiness, patriotism and a time to know our culture and heritage. Today it means gift holidays and lavish parties. Today materialism has crept into our society so deeply that it is making it hollow, day by day. Fears develop when we refuse to get out of our comfort zone. We don’t wish to take risks and face the challenges. If we let our fears control our lives then soon they become a partofourpersonality. So it is better to face them. Sometimes a former experience fills our heart with fear and we try to resist doing that task. But conquering fears is what makes life meaningful. We must work upon our negative aspects so as to convert them into our strengths. For this, willpower and continuous efforts are a must.
