What happened at Airport Modernisations Summit 2016:Nispana’s Inaugural Airport Modernisation Summit took place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh,Saudi Arabia from 2 – 3 October 2016. The premier event was held under the patronage of Dr.AbdulazizBin Naser Al Saud and Abdullah Bin Turki Bin Nasser.With the aim to create a platform to bring together the key stake holders involved in modernising andupgrading airports, Airport Modernisation Summit brought together over 150 decision makers fromacross Saudi Arabia’s aviation sector and educated them on various elements which would play asignificant role in airport upgrades.With the official support by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Saudi Arabia, theevent had representatives from private and government sectors alike. The event featured a range ofinternational and regional case studies detailing the technicalities involved in modernising airports.Apart from the case studies, there were presentations on new technologies and product advancementsby companies such as TAV Information Technologies, Implant Sciences Corporation and SaudiTabreed District Cooling Company, which received an overwhelming response from the attendingdelegates. The format of the event ensued there were opportunities for the attendees to raise theirconcerns and get the much needed response during the interactive dialogues.Knowing the who’swho will be attending one week before the event, organisations were well prepared, which furtherhelped them to have an interactive and focused discussions during the networking breaks.Receiving a positive response from the attending fraternity, Nispana will be hosting the 2nd AnnualAirport Modernization Summit in June 2017.
