Introduction This teacher’s guide is the second in a series of seven teacher’s guides which are developed to provide some necessary teaching techniques along with the textbooks. The teacher’s guide will help teachers conduct their teaching effectively. It includes the necessary steps of teaching with clear instruction that teachers can follow easily. Moreover, this teacher’s guide has given some useful ideas to teachers and students for preparing the teaching aids to use in their classes by themselves. It also includes the keys of the lessons, some reading texts for listening, some songs and games. The teaching will be effective if the teachers read the teacher’s guide and textbook before teaching the lessons to students. Therefore, it is necessary for teachers to have the teacher’s guide along with the textbook. However, the teacher’s guide is produced under the time pressure that it cannot be probed into every needed area. Some minor errors may also contain in some instructions. The Foreign Language Research and Resource Centre highly appreciates all comments and suggestions from users and those are considered as a great contribution to the development of teaching techniques of Lao teachers. The Research Institute for Educational Sciences avails itself of this opportunity to express its sincere thanks to all contributors.
