Name of the Dish Dosa State Tamil Nadu Ingredients half cup urad dal (split black lentils) Method of preparation 1 cup raw rice (chawal) ghee for cooking Reasons for it being popular in Tamil Nadu 1) Combine the urad dal and rice and soak the mixture in enough water for 4 hours. 2) Drain the urad dal and rice and blend in a mixer to a smooth paste using approx. 1 cup of water. 3) T ransfer the mixture to the same bowl.
