Escalating Road Accidents One serious road accident in the country occurs every minute. 16 people die on Indian roads every hour. 16 children die daily on Indian roads. 5 lives end on Delhi's roads daily. Araku is a hill station 120 km from the city of Visakhapatnam, nestled in the foothills of the Eastern Ghats. As it is 2990 ft above sea level, the temperature there was around 8 - 9 degrees. Oh!
