Grammar Simple present tense Rehana and her parents get up early in the morning. Rehana waters the plants in her garden. She also puts the pots in a line. Her father cuts the leaves from the trees. Rehana and her parents love their garden. Read the words in bold in the given paragraph. All these words are doing words or action words. They are talking about actions that we do every day or very regularly. When the doing word in a sentence tells us about actions that we do regularly or daily, the sentence is in the simple present tense. Examples: Tim plays football Fish live in water.
