Morning hours are peak hours of traffic as schools, offices , business companies, shops etc., more or less have the same time of starting that is between 8 am to 9 am . Roads are blocked as none has the time to stop and let the traffic ease off. Everybody is in hurry. Even the footpath for pedestrians is jammed because lot of people is walking at the same time. At the same time, fruit–vendors, vegetable–vendors also occupy a large area on footpath,which further creates a hindrance in easy movement of people. This is business time for them too. But the municipal authorities as well as traffic regulatory authority must ensure that unlawful usage of footpath is not done. There must, at all times, especially in morning and evening peak hours, traffic is regulated in a smooth way for the easy movement on roads. Time is money and it should not get wasted on roads trying to cope with traffic. All works are important whether children of schools, or teachers or college students. Doctors have to reach hospitals in time for they are responsible for a life, waiting to be resurrected. The chaos of traffic should be last thing to cause loss of time and money. Hence road safety is very important to avoid the accidents and control loss of lives. Road safety ensures that every road user follow traffic rules and thereby avoid traffic jams and deaths due to accidents. For systematic regulation of vehicular traffic, road safety is needed. Q2.
