National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur Introduction India is the land of fair, for every occasion we have a festival to celebrate and each festival associate with a fair. Around the world, people have crowded situations (like railway station, bus station and of course fair) and children become vulnerable in such situations. Fair is the place where children enjoy the most but most of the children lost during fair and the children recovery is not satisfactory in our country. Most of the children lost are ended up with child trafficking which is very active during big events like fair. These children are forced to beg and sometimes trafficker sell their organ for money, and their parent’s life become miserable without them. Hence, we should have some devices that can track our children movement during crowed moment and inform us about his location and position so that during such lost situation we can track our children. The statistics are sombre, heart-breaking. Two out of three missing children in India remain untraced in a period of three years, the wait for them an excruciating see-saw between agony and hope for those who love them. On the occasion of International Missing Children's Day on 25 May, Child Rights and You (CRY) compiled these sobering statistics in a report that also noted that the number of untraced children has witnessed a sharp increase in the country. The data, available with the Ministry of Home Affairs, shows that the number of untraced children in the country has increased by 84% between 2013 and 2015. The total number of untraced children in 2015 was 62,988 as against 34,244 in the year 2013. \"In India, according to estimates, 180 children go missing on an average every day. While the number of children who go missing remains alarming, the number of untraced children keep piling year on year,\" noted a press release on the CRY report. The number of untraced children in the country has increased by 84% between 2013 and 2015. According to CRY, Maharashtra and Delhi have the maximum number of untraced children. According to a recent RTI reply from the Delhi Police, 22 children go missing in Delhi every day. Puja Marwaha, the chief executive officer of CRY, says that the governments should ensure the fundamental rights of underprivileged children in India are protected and honoured. \"It is necessary that all duty-bearers for children promise... a childhood which is not [include] begging on streets, working in agricultural fields and construction sites but learning in a well- equipped classroom.\" 2

National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur Objective To overcome the problem of lost during fair and all other crowded situation, our aim is to design a device through which we can get the notification and the position of the lost child. So, our project is focused on; 1. Set the maximum distance that can be avoidable or roaming area for children during big crowdie event. 2. During the time period when the connection will not be received by the receiver, then our processor sends the prior notification that device is not in contact. 3. User can avoid the notification if child is with some known person and just go for a ride. 4. If the case is differed from the above case, then the location of the child must be accessible to find the child. 3

National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur Methodology The connection between the transmitter and receiver are established and at the time of any discontinuity of the signal to the transmitter, it can cross check the location via GPS and communicate through GSM module. 4

National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur Working Whenever the connection between the receiver and transmitter are lost then our controller come into action and activate the GPS and GSM module it sends an acknowledge SMS to the number registered with GSM module and this SMS consists of location of the child. GPS Receiver Transmitter Module Cell phone Micro Controller GSM Module Fig.7: Receiver and Transmitter are connected GPS Transmitter Module Receiver Data1 Micro Controller GSM Data2 Cell phone Module 10 Fig.8: connection lost between transmitter and receiver

National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur Here, Data1= location of the device Data2=SMS consists of the location of the individual to cell phone Let it be any crowded place if child is lost ( i,e the connection between the transmitter and receiver are lost) then the parents can access the location of the child by just sending the SMS to the GSM module associate with controller and GSM module send the SMS to the registered mobile number with the location of the child ( location is identified using GPS module). 11
