How to Conduct Remote Learning with PR1ME Mathematics Overview: With school closures happening globally, Scholastic is committed to supporting you through this season so that you can continue teaching. This guide shows the various resources our PR1ME Mathematics users have for online lessons and how to use these resources for effective lessons. How to use this guide: Teachers will be guided through the complete lesson process from lesson preparation to delivery. • For users who are on our PR1ME Mathematics edition, please refer to Section A, (pages 2 – 6) • For users who are on our Maximo edition, please refer to Section B, (pages 7 - 10) • For users who are on our PR1ME for Success edition, please refer to Section C, (pages 11 - 13) 1

A.1 Select Chapter A.2 Lesson Prep - Lesson Plan -Scheme of Work A.3 Teaching Remotely - Highlight - Write/ Draw concepts A.4 Practicing with Class Remotely - Reveal Answers - Attach notes 2

How to Conduct Remote Learning with PR1ME Mathematics A.1 Select Chapter After selecting the chapter they would like to teach, teachers should log-in to the Interactive Whiteboard Reader on Scholastic Learning Zone. Launch ‘Online Interactive Whiteboard Reader’ and look for the chapter on the coursebook. 3

How to Conduct Remote Learning with PR1ME Mathematics A.2 Lesson Prep The ‘Scheme of Work’, ‘Blackline Masters’ and ‘Scope and Sequence’ for that level are available from the tab at the side bar. To launch the ‘Lesson Notes’ from the Teacher’s Guide, click on the ‘Lesson Notes’ tab at the top of each page of the coursebook. The ‘Lesson Notes’ guide teachers through how they can teach that lesson. 4

How to Conduct Remote Learning with PR1ME Mathematics A.3 Teaching Remotely Over any video conferencing platform, teachers can use the share screen function to teach from the coursebook in the ‘Online Interactive Whiteboard Reader’. Within the ‘Online Interactive Whiteboard Reader’, drawing and highlighting tools can be used during lessons to help focus students’ attention and to explain concepts. A.4 Practicing with Class Remotely Teachers can also insert their own lesson notes as well as attach external links such as YouTube videos or online quizzes and games. The ‘Reveal Answer’ tab at the side allows teachers to mask answers and reveal them as the class progresses through the lesson. 5

Digital’ on Scholastic Learning Zone. Launch ‘iMatematicas al Maximo! Digital’ and look for the chapter on the Teacher’s Guide. 8

How to Conduct Remote Learning with PR1ME Mathematics C.1 Select Chapter Two chapters per level have been made available on a flipbook viewer. Please contact your education consultant for access to the flipbook links. C.2 Lesson Prep After selecting the chapter they would like to teach, teachers read through the lesson plan from the Teacher’s Manual uploaded. C.3 Teaching Remotely Over any video conferencing platform, teachers can use the share screen function to teach from the coursebook materials uploaded. 12
