Greetings! W elcom etothefirstevernewslettereditionforMRG School2021-22. 1.W ELCOMETO MS.ANSHUMITAL, PRINCIPAL W earepleasedtoannouncethattheSelectionCom m itteeofMRG SchoolhasfinalizedtheselectionofMs.AnshuMitalasthePrincipalof MRGSchool.Ms.AnshuassumedthechargeasthePrincipalon17th June2021. Ms.Anshu’sselectionwasaresultofanextensivesearchandinterview process.Ms.AnshuMitalroseasthetopcandidateaboveahighly competitivegroupofprofessionaleducators,andwearedelightedshe hasacceptedourofferandstartedherjourneywiththeMRGSchool. Overafew weeks,theSelectionCommitteeworkedtirelesslytofindthe bestsuitedcandidatefrom over200applicationsthattheschool receivedforthepostofPrincipal.Therewereseveralroundsof interactionsandsevenoutstandingcandidateswereshortlistedforthe finalroundofinterview. Ultimately,outofthetopcandidates,Ms.Anshuwasselectedforthe positionandapprovedbytheSchoolManagementCommittee.

Allthroughtheselectionprocess,theSelectionCommitteewaslooking forahighlyeffectiveleaderwhowouldbecompetenttoprovideimpetus onimprovingteachingandlearning,andgrowthofstudentsandstaff. Ms.Anshudemonstratedenergy,commitmentandpassiontoleadMRG Schoolachieveitsvisionofbeing“GoodtoGreat”. Giftedwithinbornleadershipqualities,Ms.Anshuhasheldpositions demandingimmensecommand,controlandorganization.Shealsohasa richteachingandadministrativeexperienceofmorethan15yearsin reputedschools.ThisincludesviceprincipalinAmityInternational School,Saket,ViceprincipalinSalwanPublicSchool,Gurgaon,and PrincipalinDPSG,SushantLok.Shehasconductedmanyprestigious schooleventsandcompetitionswithprofessionalexpertiseand excellence.Inadditiontothis,shehasalsoupgradedhereducationby attendingvariousCBSEW orkshopsandalsoconducted‘TeacherTraining Workshops’for100teachersfrom 10differentschoolsonclassroom managementanduseofdifferentteachingconcepts. Besidesachievingacademicexcellence,shehasbeenawardedthe ‘SammanAward’forusinginnovativepracticesforteachingfrom RotaryClub,New Delhi. Mr.Y.PPurangservedas Mr.K.K.Khandelwal Dr.S.K.Bhattacharya theDirectoratthe (Retd.IAS)isthe isarenownedEducationist DirectorateofEducation. ChairmanofHaryanaReal withrevolutionarythoughts. EstateRegulatoryAuthority. 3.A MESSAGEFROM THESCHOOL EXECUTIVECHAIRMAN Itisindeedmyimmensepleasuretoshare someofmythoughtswiththeparents, students,teachersandotherstakeholders ofMRGSchool. Mr.RajatGoel,ManageroftheMRGSchool, Dr.S.K.Bhattacharya metmeatmyofficesometimebackin December,2020.Thisyoungmanimpressed mewithhisdynamic,enthusiastic, optimisticapproach.Insimplestraight forwardmanner,herequestedmeformy supportandhelpinvariousadministrative andacademicmatterstobringqualitative improvementinthemanagementofthe school.Afterspeakingforaboutanhour,I decidedtogivemyconsent. Sincethen,withmycontinuousinteractionwithhim andhisteam,Iam fullyconvincedthatMRGSchoolhasabrightfutureunderthecaseof somewell-meaningpeople. W hatisthekeytothesuccessofaneducationinstitution? Providinggreatersupporttoensureparents&guardiansarewelcomed, respected&valuedbytheschoolcommunityaspartnersintheirchild’s education. SELCollaboration MRGSchoolissetupincollaborationwithShriEducareLimited(SEL) whichismodelledonthepatternofTheShriRam Schools.TheShriRam Schoolsareknownfortheirchild-centricinnovativemethodsofimparting value-basededucation.Drawingstrengthfrom therepertoireof experience&expertiseofTheShriRam Schoolsinthefieldofeducation, MRGSchoolshallincorporateglobalbestpracticesineducation.This collaborationhasbeensetuptakinginview thatourschoolisemphatic aboutprovidingchild-centriceducation,offeringlearningthatisboth interactive&experiential. Internationalcurriculum (CAIE) MRGSchoolisthe11thSchoolinDelhithatreceivedapprovalfor CambridgeAssessmentInternationalEducationandisproviding Cambridgecurriculum sinceApril2021. Currently,Cambridgecurriculum isofferedtillGradeVatMRGSchool.Its widerangeofsubjectsandflexibilitygivesthechancetoshapethe curriculum sothatitisexcitingandrelevantfortheirownstudents. Cambridgestudentshavethechancetoacquiretheknowledgeandskills theyneedtoachieveatschool,universityandbeyond.Cambridge Internationalhelpsstudentsbecomeconfident,responsible,reflective, innovativeandengaged,readytotacklethedemandsoftomorrow’sworld, capableofshapingabetterworldforthefuture.Thefourstagesof Cambridgeleadseamlesslyfrom primarytosecondaryandpre-university years.EachstageCambridgePrimary,CambridgeLowerSecondary, CambridgeUpperSecondaryandCambridgeAdvanced–buildsonthe learners’developmentfrom thepreviousone,butcanalsobeoffered separately.

HeerakJain&DivyaJain Iwouldliketoappreciatethekid-friendly andconducivelearningenvironment whichhasbeencreatedinthe CambridgeClasses.Alotofprogressive teachingpedagogicalpracticeshave beenfollowedwhichincludes activity-basedlearning,experiential learningandlearningbydoing.Allthese pedagogicalpracticesreallyhelpin creatingaconducivelearning environmentandkeepkidsengagedand interactiveintheclasses.Thecurriculum isapplicationbasedinnatureand involvesalotofbrainstorming.Iwould liketoextendheartfeltgratitudetoMs. SucharitaMa’am whohasputinalotof effortsfortheprogressionofthekids andalotofpersonalfocusisgivento eachandeverychildsothatindividual needsarecateredto.Ireallyfeelthatthis curriculum isgoingtohelpandnarrow downthedifferencebetweenthe teaching-learninggapwhichisoftenfelt bytheparentsoveraperiodoftime. 7.MRGSCHOOL-GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP BridgeProgramme TheBRIDGESchoolPartnershipsProgram is supportedbytheAustralianGovernment DepartmentofForeignAffairsandTradeand implementedbyAsiaEducationFoundationatAsialink,TheUniversityof Melbourne.Keytotheprogram istheintensiveblendedmodelof professionallearningforteacherspertainingtointerculturallearning,the useofnew technologiesintheclassroom,Australia’splaceintheworld, languageslearningandglobalcollaboration.Ourschoolhascollaborated withSt.Mary’sSchoolinAustralia.Underthiscollaborationfacilitators willlearnandsharetheirexperiencesforstudentsandschool community. Studentswillbeinvolvedinsessionswheretheycaninteractwithother studentsacrossandexploreinterculturaldifferencesandsimilarities. ISA TheInternationalSchoolAwardisaBritishCouncilaccreditationscheme rewardingthoseschoolswithanotableglobalelementintheir curriculum.Afterattendingtheintroductorymeeting,afreshcurriculum waspreparedforthewholeschool,inwhichinternationaledgewas incorporatedinalltheactivities.Theparticipationofourstudentsin theseactivitiesthroughouttheyearhelpedthem developawideranda betterunderstandingofwhatwecanachievethroughcollaboration.It wasaproudmomentforMRGSchooltoreceivetheInternationalSchool Awardinthesession2018-19.

8.IMPLEMENTATION OFNATIONAL EDUCATION POLICYATMRGSCHOOL MRGSchoolisproudtobeoneofthefirstschoolsinDelhitobe compliantwithNEP2020.Thecurriculum andlearningpedagogyatMRG SchoolisalignedwiththeNEPguidelines.
