If you know a retester, please cheer them on and remind them to do their best, use the strategies they’ve learned and be confident about their knowledge! COMMON ASSESSMENTS: Common Assessments occur the week of December 6-10. A reminder to administrators and teachers that effective monitoring should be occurring and use of student accommodations. Common Assessments assist in gauging student knowledge of the current grading period and/or cumulative grade level instruction, as well as monitoring student progress. Common assessments offer teachers an opportunity to analyze student data to determine student’s instructional needs and plan accordingly. STUDENT PROGRESS IS KEY!!!!

Common Assessment Procedures 2nd Grading Period Procedures: ● C&I will send copies of Common Assessments to Instructional Teacher Coaches (ITC) ● ITCs will print answer documents from Eduphoria. Consider organizing answer documents in folders with the teacher's name and testing area. ● ITCs will distribute answer documents and Common Assessments to the teachers administering the assessment. Distribute the afternoon prior to testing. ● Teachers should collect all tests from students. ● Teachers should submit completed answer documents for the administration date(s). ● ITCs will scan the answer documents by the deadline for the content. ● If a student is absent, teachers will administer the assessment upon return and submit the answer document to the ITC. ● High School will hold EOC Retesting. EOC Testing is a priority. If students are taking both EOC tests and Common Assessments, the focus should be EOC tests. The HS Testing Coordinator will train staff on testing procedures and schedule. ○ English I EOC Retest - Dec. 7, 2021 ○ Alg.
