What is an ETA? The ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) is the Sri Lanka visa which is granted online from the visa system. This is only issued to individuals who are looking to go to Sri Lanka on a short term visit for the purpose of business, tourism or transit. How long are Indian citizens eligible for a stay in Sri Lanka? Indian citizens are granted tourist visas if it is for a short-stay, which are valid for a period of 30 days. Getting an extension is possible too, as these visas are valid for “double-entry” as well. Double-entry indicates that the visa holder can return to the country for a second time after going back within the validity of his visa. An ETA can also be extended for up to 90 days.
