WELCOME Good day Dellwood Family, Welcome to a year of new beginnings! I want to welcome our new Teachers, new Para-educators, and new students. This will be a year of embracing new online learning platforms, classrooms, some new healthy routines, and new ways of teaching and learning. As we begin the journey via remote learning, we look forward to embracing our school-wide theme for this year: Motivation and Engagement to achieve Mastery and Empowerment (ME 4 ME!). Each one of us giving the best, doing the best, getting the best, to build the best. Although, we had hoped to be in person, that is not possible right now. We want to ensure that each of our students continue to have access to high-quality curriculum and assignments. All parents will be provided with an opportunity to help us know about the status of each student’s ability to access and engage in remote learning via the Dellwood Technology Survey https://forms.gle/R4FnrzVYxy1tSdqs5 We plan to deliver instruction via Zoom and multiple online digital learning platforms for those who do have access. We still have teachers and students who have been impacted by the global pandemic and are not able to engage in teaching and learning at this time. The Advisory Leaders will provide any updates regarding teachers who are able to commence work once they are well. During the periods when those teachers would have been delivering instruction, students will have dedicated work periods to complete any outstanding or assigned work. During this time, students should work independently and note any challenges they are experiencing to share with their teachers in their next session. The M2 classes impacted at this time are:  Physical Education (students to perform the exercises outlined on Page 5)  Spanish (students can review the following Spanish vocabulary online: greetings, numbers, days of the week, colors, classroom items, family, etc.) In order to ensure each student’s learning continues, we need your support to ensure the success of our efforts! Please take a moment to review our plan (on the next page) and talk with your child about the importance of continuing their education during this time. The entire Dellwood Staff thank you for your resilience and support during this time. Stay safe, Mrs. L. Wainwright-Dill PAagcet3ing Principal
