DescriptionNEXT: Next was apart of a nationalcompetition from Steelcase that want-ed a design firm of the future were thespaces would approach wellbeing in acomplete way, taking into account notonly the physical needs of employeesbut also their emotional and cognitiveneeds. Combat cognitive overload, pro-vide an area (digital or analog) wherepeople can offload information andmake work visible. Finally, shape an en-vironment that supports positive emo-tions, fostering a connection betweenusers, their colleagues, and the NEXTorganization as a whole.Concept: Next cares for the health ofit employees, they want to inspire en-gagement, productivity, collaboration,and mentoring to create a new func-tional work space. Using public, privateand entertainment zoning based onresidential housing, where each zone isinspired by colors and visual textures ofthe natural environment of the ocean,woods, and mountain terrains locatedin Los Angeles. These spaces will be in-novative, thought provoking, fun, func-tional, flexible, and collaborative. DescriptionShotgun House: The shotgun projectwas a collaboration between studio andwood constuction class. The goal was torenovate and remodel a shotgun houselocated in Cape Girardeau to bring morearts and encourage interaction amoungthe community. After designing thenew space, constuction docments weremade base off the hand drawings.Concept: To give new or experiencedartist the feeling of accomplishment ontheir jounery in the design environment.This space will show the different stagesof sculptures art by less experienced tomore experienced artist. Healthcare: Pregnancy Matters

DescriptionPregnancy Matter: Pregnancy Mattersvision was founded on the Christianprinciples of service and love and life,is dedicated to educating, empowering,and encouraging individuals to makehealthy choices about their pregnancyand their relationships. The goals of theproject was to design a welcoming andcharming environment for mothers in aexisting structure in Carbondale IL.Concept: When you’re feeling vulner-able you open up and let your guarddown, you begin to warm up and starttrusting. Cabins are charming, warm,safe and cozy. They have lovely natu-ral materials such as wood and stone,with a neutral color palette that makethem more relaxing. Using aspects froma cabin, the spaces will be welcoming,comfortable, and safe. The colors areinspired by the changing leaves in thefall season to give a warm and cozy at-mosphere. DescriptionPet Refuge: The project goal was to cre-ate an environment that engaged thecommunity, locted in a existing build-ing in downtown St Louis.
