BASS CELEBRATES ELECTRICAL DIVISION'S 2ND ANNIVERSARY FEBRUARY MARKSTWO YEARSSINCE ELECTRICAL DIVISION ESTABLISHMENT In the fall of 2013, [owners] Al and Shelley Baum started seriously pursuing the idea of adding an industrial electrical division to their already successful mechanical business. On February 3, 2014 (the day after Groundhog Day), Mike Gehman came to Bass Mechanical with the challenge to start building the electrical division. On February 21st, just a few weeks after, the electrical division was started, Pat Wolpert joined the team bringing additional years of knowledge and experience. With a focus on expanding opportunities through existing Bass clients, as well as servicing the rapidly expanding new customer base, the electrical division started to take shape. Many early projects were supported by subcontractors. One of the initial projects for the electrical team was to install a Mega Watt Solar System at Kreider Farms in Manheim, Pa. The project included both mechanical and electrical means and provided opportunity for the hiring of full-time electricians. This is when the electrical team welcomed Chris Coblentz, Bob Yellets and Kevin Hackman. By the end of the first year, the electrical team had grown to seven full-time employees and was involved in approximately 100 projects with revenues over 1.5 million. New customers like Durr Environmental, Kreider Farms, Tyson Foods and A1 Energy became foundations for not only the electrical division but also for all divisions at Bass. In 2015, the team added five more full-time employees and continued to support existing clients along with some additional customers like Stellar Refrigerator, Boose Aluminium, North American Pipe, Guilford Mills and Berk-Tek. As we enter 2016, the goal is to continue to expand profitably while working in conjunction with the other divisions to assist in the growth and stability of Bass Mechanical, Inc. The current team members are Mike Gehman, Pat Wolpert, Chris Coblentz, Rob Wenger, Kevin Hackman, Steve Sweigart, Bud Lyons, Bob Yellets, Carl Morris, Ryan Huffer, and Sam Engle. Thanks to everyone at Bass Mechanical for the support of the electrical team and \"Happy 2nd Anniversary\"! - Pat Wolpert/ Mike Gehman OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE WORKING TO ENSURE SATISFIED CUSTOMERS What principles lead to operational excellence in our industry?Problem-Solving. Teamwork. Focusing on customer needs. Each of these qualities were clearly implemented during the duration of the Tyson hand-railing project in New Holland, Pa. Bass Mechanical realizes that these elements are crucial to getting a job done successfully and done right. Conscientious. Hard-Working. Keeping Safety First. These are some of the words that Tyson had used to describe our field crew along with our Structural Supervisor, Jeff Pallas upon the completion of this job. Bass would like to recognize the entire crew that worked on the Tyson project. We would also like to give a special shout-out to Jeff Pallas, our Structural Supervisor that managed installation on this job. Tyson commended Jeff on his excellent management skills and his strong ability to always keep safety in the forefront. Jeff and the field crew that were on the Tyson job are an excellent example of how Bass strives to accomplish great operational excellence in our industry.HAPPENINGS 2
