November marks the beginning of the holiday season – gathering with friends and family, a time of feasting, and of course, more activities here at Far Horizons. November is also a time to be thankful, especially for our beautiful Arizona weather! The mornings may start off cool but the afternoons are perfect for outdoor activities such as pickleball, swimming, hiking or biking. Or, you can gather with your friends on our pool patio and enjoy the fellowship! As the weather cools down our activities heat up. November’s calendar features a time of honoring our Veterans, a cornucopia of activities, and Thanksgiving – where we feast on turkey and pumpkin pie. Tucson has something for everyone – it’s an active adult and foodie’s paradise. Our city has earned the coveted title of “Unesco Capital of Gastronomy.” The Thunder and Lightning Over Arizona Air Show promises to be a weekend packed with heart-pounding air performances Nov. 6 & 7. This free event features the United States Air Force Thunderbirds! Be sure to check out all of the activities and special events in and around our area. If you need assistance with locating local events or food establishments, please contact us or the Activities Department – we love to share our city with you! We are truly thankful that you have chosen to spend this time with us at Far Horizons RV Resort and look forward to meeting you. Bill & Diann Noles, Resort Managers Now, let the party begin! Hello Everyone, I’m De Marco Grayson and I am the new Activities Assistant for Far Horizons. It’s been a great time getting to know everyone and it has been a truly welcoming experience. I want to thank everyone for that. Here’s a little bit about me I thought I should share since I’m the new kid on the block. I am from Phoenix, Arizona and I moved to Tucson right around high school. I attended a Junior college in California before ultimately receiving a full athletic scholarship graduating with a degree in Marketing at Southwest Baptist University. On my free time I like to visit art museums, make designs for friends, and I also can’t forget trying new fruits. My favorites so far have been Rambutan and Pluot. I will be joining in some activities and workshops. I just can’t decide which ones because I don’t want to miss out on any of them. De Marco Grayson, Activities Assistant DISCLAIMER: The Far Horizons Newsletter is published by the Activities Office at Far Horizons RV Resort.
