LETTERS FROM MANAGEMENT Resort Managers It’s March Madness! Its times like these that merit our attention to family and friends and showing them how much we love them. COVID has put a twist on our activities but we are still having fun and enjoying sunny Arizona. It’s nice to see everyone out- doors enjoying the amenities. A special thank you to our activities staff for their efforts in planning the daily happy hours and keeping the fun (a.k.a. Beer!) flowing at the North pool. Thank you for get- ting out and supporting our bar and grill. It is a fun place to meet up with friends and have a cocktail or two. It’s nice to see new faces in the resort and please make sure to wave and say Hello! You all make Fortuna De Oro the welcoming place that it is. It takes an army to make Fortuna shine and we could not make this resort what it has become without our workampers and volunteers! Kuddo’s to all of you! Your continued support and encouragement is very much appreciated. May March bring us all together for one last hoorah and give us lasting memories to cherish for years to come. You know April is wonderful month here too so extend your stay if you can. Valarie & Gregg Wahl – Resort Managers Activities Office Things continue to be busy here in the Activities Office as we prepare for another month full of Activities in FDO. If you are new and haven’t met me at one of our Coffee & Donuts or any of our other events, my name is Stacey and I’m your new Activities Director. We hope that you enjoy this month’s newsletter which is what we consider your resort guide to all things “activities”. Inside you will find detailed information on events and activities that we make available to our resort residents only. Hope you all had a fantastic February, we had fun at all of our events. Now that we are in the month of March, slowly but surely the goodbyes approach us. Many will start heading home soon, but before you do we still have some fun stuff coming up. We continue to have weekly Happy Hours with great bands, Pancake Breakfast, our every Tuesday Coffee &Donuts, Park Yard Sale, and our Farewell Party. We look forward to seeing you at each of these activities and encourage you to wear your mask at all Cal-Am sponsored events, prac- tice social distancing of 6’ or more and wash your hands. By taking these small steps, we can continue to provide you fun, safe activities throughout the rest of the season. Activities Director—Stacey 3
