From Our Managers Love is in the air, everywhere I look around, love is in the air, every sight and every sound… John Paul Young’s melodic description of love, back in 1978, sure had us swooning and dreaming of such an ethereal encounter. Of course, here at Montesa, you can be sure our tremendously talented AD – Sherri and her dynamic team will find a way to make our hearts skip a beat or two, bringing us to romantic destinations we may have yet to discover! February has longingly pulled at our heartstrings, since as far back as the 14th century, when February 14th was dubbed a Christian feast day in celebration of the martyred Saint Valentine (known by many romantics, as the patron saint of lovers). This month has also come to be one of courtly love, some historians say, due to the appearance of “lovebirds” in certain areas of the world during this time of year. Our Gold Canyon birdwatchers most likely know that this region is now home to thousands of Rosy-faced and Peach-faced lovebirds, who from what we’ve heard, can be seen on occasion nesting in the holes of Saguaro cactuses that have been made by other birds (mostly woodpeckers and flickers). *See the adorable picture attached of a Peach-faced lovebird in a Saguaro below. We’ll leave you with a short, but sweet sonnet, we think captures the essence of V-day: I love you for a lifetime, not only for a day, I love you for who you are, not what you do or say. From Our Activities Director February the month of LOVE! We are continuing our Yachts of Fun at Montesa. For the Month of February we will be taking a land cruise Coast to Coast. Montesa is hosting the Cal-Am Pickleball Tournament the first week of February. Did you know that pickleball was invited in the State of Washing- ton? Thank you to Marcia Hartman our Pickleball Coordinator and her tal- ented team for getting this put together. Then Khris Dodge production will entertain us at the Valentine Dinner with “Gents Coast to Coast”. The fol- lowing week the J&K train will be taking us from Seattle to St Paul Minneso- ta. Food/Music will be on the ticket. What’s a land cruise without a stop in Disneyland. We will be having an Ice Cream Social the 24th of February with a Disney Flare. And of course Movies, Music on the Patio, exercise classes, water volleyball, shuffleboard, bocce ball, cards….. And the list goes on and on. We are fortunate to have one of the best groups of Workampers , Employees and Volunteers this season. They certainly make things happen. We LOVE you ALL !! Sherri 4

Welcome to the Sales Corner – WI WHERE DID 2021 GO? It has come and gone, and I am excited the busy time for sales is here! I want everyone to know, I now have a new “partner” in sales and her name is Patti Capozzolo. I am very lucky to have Patti here with me as she has been selling homes for nearly fifteen years, and she will be a wonderful asset to the Montesa sales team. Patti is bringing us her years of real estate experience from Delaware and Pennsylvania but has also lived in Florida and New York. Patti and I look forward to helping our current and prospective homeowners who are thinking of selling their homes and contemplating on upgrading to something larger, downsizing or those interested in learning more about buying one of our brand NEW homes!
