Deb Kannenberg Activities Director Kathy, Paula, and Fred From the Resort Managers Well hello, March! This month brings the beginning of spring. Although this was an unusual season, we have almost everything opened on a modified, socially distanced basis. We are happy to enjoy all those who made it here as do miss those who couldn’t make it this season. We are looking forward to your return soon. Our news is a second granddaughter, Ellis Jude born January 29th at 9 lbs 7ozs and 21” long. With both Emmy and Ellis so close, only 2 miles down University Dr., we feel incredibly lucky to enjoy them frequently. The New Ballroom project, while in a construction lull for the season, is actually still progressing with many details being completed during this time. All is on schedule for a completion this fall for us all to enjoy next season. We would also like to give a shout out to our awesome staff! They have been working so hard and we appreciate them all so much! Thank you! This season has been a little different (to say the least), BUT, we hope you had an AMAZING time here with us and we cant wait for the party to continue next season! Stay safe & healthy and we will see you soon! Checklist of Things to Do When you Leave 1. Please check out with Guest Service and let them know when you are leaving. 2. Get a caretaker and let Guest Service know who that will be. Leave them some weed killer. 3. One week before leaving the Village, notify your Post Office back home to stop forwarding your mail to Val Vista. 4. Turn your water off. We recommend you turn your electricity off. 5. Please pick fruit from your tree before it starts blooming. This will also help eliminate rotten fruit from falling later and attracting insects and critters. 6. If you receive the Arizona Republic newspaper, you will need to call and cancel delivery before you leave. Your paper will not automatically end once your subscription ends, and you will continue to get billed. Call them at 602-444-1000 Have a great summer! See you in the fall! 10
