Welcome to Far Horizons! We are so glad you’ve come to soak up the warmth of our sunny Arizona days and enjoy the season with us as we have “Yachts of Fun!” February is the month of love, and we definitely feel the love here at Far Horizons. You’ll enjoy seeing old acquaintances and spending time with good friends while making new ones at the many events and activities we have planned this season. If you are a nature lover, be sure to check out our many hiking trails with Far Horizons’ “No Hurry Hikers,” or grab a buddy and bike a portion of The Loop (or all of it, if you’re up to it!). If you like photography, be sure to check out our Foto Fun Club, and share all the beautiful pictures you capture on your nature walk or ride. Is art more your thing? Visit the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show, which continues through February 13, and pick out that special gem or trinket to create a beautiful piece of jewelry in our Silversmith Shop. Or check out one of our other workshops to create that perfect gift for your loved one. There’s so much to do in February at Far Horizons, you won’t have enough days to try everything. But don’t worry, the party’s only just begun…March is right around the corner with just as many exciting activities and events happening! We’re going to have “Yachts of Fun” this season! Your Captains, Bill & Diann Noles It is time to set aside our New Year's Resolutions because if January is for dreamers, then February is for doers. This month, let's challenge ourselves to do one thing that we haven't done before (I actually heard this from one of Far Horizons' residents recently and I thought to myself - what a great idea!). So if you haven't painted before, join our Paint & Sip and have fun. If you haven't exercised enough, come on over to our Fitness class - we've got space for you. If you haven't tried blueberry pancakes, you absolutely need to come to our Pancake Breakfast! Just check our Weekly Activities list and see that the possibilities are many. Of course, it wouldn't be fair of me to challenge you if I am not willing to challenge myself, so this month I will sign up for the pottery workshop. What is one new thing YOU are going to do this month? Anya Thompson, Activities Director DISCLAIMER: The Far Horizons Newsletter is published by the Activities Office at Far Horizons RV Resort.
