“Small cheer and great welcome makes a merry feast.”- William Shakespeare Happy Holidays to everyone at Valle del Oro! I like to think that here at Valle del Oro, we like BIG cheer but I do think Mr. Shake- speare was onto something. We are so lucky to welcome December with the talented Highland High school per- forming their Strolling Strings Concert in the Ballroom. The festivities also include wagon rides around the resort and free hot cocoa and treats. Tickets are for sale in the Box Office for $6.50 to enjoy this wonderful event. Get your homes decorated early for the Christmas light judging on December 8th. We will have some won- derful prizes to celebrate all the effort into making VDO look spectacular for the season! On December 13 at 3:00 pm join the Christmas Carolers in the Ballroom for singing, hot cocoa, and delicious cookies. Let the celebration continue on Dec. 15th with the Christmas Light Parade at 6:00PM followed by a chili dinner with more hot cocoa, and dessert. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated golf carts! The garden rail- road will also be running that evening so don’t forget to check it out. You can sign up to be in the parade and purchase tickets for chili in the Box Office. Get with your friends and reserve a table for Christmas dinner on December 20th. Doors open at 11:30AM so you can mingle and jingle with your buddies. Dinner will be served at 12:30 PM. Tickets are available in the Box office. Speaking of buddies, the Drive-in movie this month is my personal favorite holiday movie, ELF! The gates open at 5:00PM, and the movie begins at 6:00PM on Wed. Dec. 22nd. We are ending the month with a blow out bash in the Ballroom. The Starry Night themed NYE celebration will begin at 7:00PM. Lets ring in the New Year together with a spectacular food, great live music, and lots of cheer! This buffet will surely make a merry feast! The Box Office is selling tickets now. OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS Christmas is that time of year to 2022 enjoy the season with a good old VDO’S GOT fashioned Christmas caroling session. Join our VDO TALENT friends in celebrating the season Auditions with our annual Christmas caroling Tues, February 8, 11 AM-1 PM & VDO Christmas Caroling Fri, Feb 11, 10 AM-12 PM, Theater Room December 13th 3 PM. In the Ballroom Calling all Singers, Dancers, Musicians, Comedians and anyone else who just wants to Enjoy singing, beverages have fun and entertain. If you have talent or a funny comedy bit, we want to see it. Come to the auditions for this year’s talent show. As always, it will be the hit of the season! Absolutely everyone is welcome. Don’t have a formal talent, but want to be involved in the show? We have some fun things for you to do this year. Come to the auditions and see how you can help with the show. Service Club Activities Passport to Fun December meeting will be held on Wed, Dec Friday, Jan 7th-11:00 AM 8th at 3:30 in the Theatre Room.
