MVN TIMES SENIOR EDITION –IV (JAN- MAR 2022) Celebrate Endings- as they precede new beginnings.
Dear Parents We made it!! This has truly been a year for the record books. In some ways, it has been the most memorable year of our lives and in others it has been one of the most challenging. We know how hard this has been for all our students. We are truly grateful for all the efforts that have gone into the last few months of remote learning. We are humbled by what you have done at home to support our students and we look forward to being together again. It’s certainly been a tremendous journey. Every end marks a new beginning. Keep your spirits and determination unshaken, and you shall always walk the glory road. With courage, faith and great effort, our students shall achieve everything they desire. They ought to regard every day as the beginning of their new, better and happier life. Start every day of the year with feelings of happiness and with the anticipation that great and wonderful things are going to happen. However, we hear stories every day of the excellent work our students continue to create, and you have been instrumental in making the very best out of a bad, unexpected situation. When our actions and habits combine with intense effort and are directed by a solid purpose, it is this level of commitment that charges the senses and fuels our enthusiasm for attaining the seemingly impossible. You should never regret anything in life. Learn to take things in a positive stride. Problems are not stop signs, they are guidelines. So….. Success doesn’t come overnight it’s the constant perseverance you give. The small steps you take every day striving for that goal. These fractions that lead to whole numbers during your journey is the only way to get there. Bhavna Kapoor TGT. English
SO MUCH TO BE GRATEFUL FOR… As we are about to reach the end of this academic session and commence with the new session, let us take a moment to offer our gratitude to the universe for everything that has been bestowed on us this year. There were some favours, some hardships, some privileges and some lessons for everyone. We need to be grateful for all before we move forward in life. Gratefulness is the healthiest of all human emotions. To be happy is to be grateful. Gratefulness boosts our mental and physical health and makes us stress free. We feel more confident and positive by being grateful. So, what are you grateful for? Many a times, we take things for granted and we do not realize their importance until they are taken away from us. If you want to identify what you are grateful for in your life, start with yourself, your family, your home, your school, teachers, friends, nature and even the problems of your life because they also help you grow. How to be grateful every day? One fun way to include gratefulness in your daily routine is having a Gratitude Jar. Have a jar and every day before you go to sleep, write a Gratitude Statement on a piece of paper and put it in the jar. A Gratitude Statement is something that happened in the day which you appreciate or are thankful for. Some examples of gratitude statements are: I am thankful for my pet as it makes me laugh. I appreciate my teacher for making the learning so interesting. I am thankful for my mother as she loves me and cares for me always. I am thankful for such nice breeze today. There are days when we may feel low. On such days, open your gratitude jar and read a few gratitude statements. They will pep you up instantly and you will again jump back to your happy self! Keep growing with gratitude… Archana Bapat School Counsellor
REPUBLIC DAY Let’s promise our motherland that we will do everything to enrich and preserve our heritage, our ethos and our treasure. The new constitution of free India came into force with effect from 26 January ’1950. It is a day of national rejoicing and a red-letter day in our country. The day was celebrated with pomp and show, zeal and spirit by the students of middle wing. A special assembly was presented by students of Class Vll A to mark the occasion. Our brave heroes waged a valiant struggle for years so that the future generations could live their lives with freedom and dignity. Role of drafting committee in framing the Indian constitution, challenges before the national leadership in unifying princely states and the important amendments that took place in the 73 years were presented in a dramatic way in the form of a play on a virtual platform. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. Soulful song and group dance gave patriotic flavour to the monumental day. The national anthem further infused the spirit of nationalism and reverberated the audience.
UNITY IN DIVERSITY “Unity in Diversity: This is God’s supreme secret in his cosmic game.” India is the epitome of diversity and its beauty is contained in the womb of its unity. The students of class Vlll-C joyously celebrated India’s unity and its 73rd Republic Day. The assembly unfolded with thoughts to brighten up the day, followed by a vast elucidation of the diversity of India. Poems were recited in reverence of India’s diverse culture. A skit was performed to further illustrate India’s unity. Small groups of students represented the states of India and unveiled the hidden secrets of our manifold culture through speech, dance and music. It concluded with a mesmerizing song sung in honour of our motherland, our nation, our India.
FOUNDER’S DAY Sir's life is a befitting example of the poetic lines by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow – \"The heights by great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they, while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night.\" Like a true crusader, he set the path ablaze for future MVNites to tread, in pursuit of loftier aims and goals of holistic living. He founded the legacy we cherish and uphold today. We fondly remember our beloved Sir on his Birth Anniversary and dedicate ourselves to continue his legacy to keep shaping the future of our nation.
HINDI WEEK CELEBRATION \"Hindi is the soul and spirit of India. It is the medium to understand the essence of our nation.\" The Students of Middle Wing organized Hindi week from 18th to 21st January. An effort was made by students of classes Vl to Vlll to spread the awareness about importance of Hindi language. Activities in Hindi language are a fun way to teach the common fables, idioms and popular proverbs in Hindi to the students. The students performed a number of activities such as entertaining skits, motivational poems, energetic dances and mesmerizing Hindi songs. The children got to know a lot about Hindi language during the week. They learnt about how all the languages are derived from Hindi only. The week kindled a fire and love in the hearts of the students for Hindi.
