What does it mean to be a dictator? Stalin: He manipulated his people and gave them false hope. He rose to power very quickly , due to his empty promises people believed that he would fix everything but, he made things worse and then started purges to get rid of competition, he would have purges. He was a very powerful dictator. Adolf Hitler : He did very similar things to stalin except he used jews as a scapegoat and committed the holocaust.

Tips and tricks to getting power First tip is to silence all those who oppose you and hire a secret police force. Second is to keep tabs on your citizens so they don’t defect. Controlling the media is also key to keeping your people loyal to you.

Propaganda Propaganda can be used to help your people know who is in control. Good dictators use a lot of propaganda to scare people into being loyal. Stalin used propaganda to make people believed that communism was the way to go. It worked and he even got other people from other places to follow him as well.

Media censorship. Dictators censor the media so things can be controlled easier and propaganda also fits into this category in my opinion, Dictators should also do this manuely to make sure nothing can go wrong. Hitler, did lots of evil things and one of those things were also brainwashing the youth to snitch on their own parents if they were defying him.

Maintaining control pt.1 To keep this immense amount of power, your going to need a strong relationship with the people, and a military force capable of keeping your citizens in check. This is key to full power and dominance over your nation.

Maintaining control pt.2 You should use tactics such as propaganda to control people and use other brainwashing techniques to manipulate your nation. There are also other ways you can do this like, putting subtle changes in your school system and base it off of how great you are.

Maintaining control pt.3 Use Problems around the world that don’t affect you country to manipulate your people into believing that you place is way better than anywhere else so no one leaves your country. This is one of the best things you can do as a dictator.

Maintaining control pt. 4 Continue your efforts in keeping out other nations from noticing your power, they will try to stop you. It is very important that you not get outside attention because it could ruin everything you have worked hard for. The key to stopping this is secrecy, put on a facade for the public and do things that would get you a good reputation so no one would expect a thing.

Maintaining control pt.5 Don’t start fights with other countries unless they attacked first.
