All the meditations have been especially created for children’s use. The actual words and ideas of most of them are within a child’s understanding and experience. My hope is that it will appeal to children and relate to their own lives and experiences.
Giving children the tools to assist them with fending off negative thoughts and behaviours, build self-confidence, focus, and treat others and themselves with understanding, is a gift they will have for the rest of their lives.
Studies have shown that teaching kids mindfulness practices can build students’ attentiveness, respect for fellow classmates, self-control, and empathy, all while reducing stress, hyperactive behaviour, ADHD symptoms, and depression. In addition, grades are shown to improve for students who participate in mindfulness programs.
Meditation time should be a natural and enjoyable part of our whole relationship with God.
This lends itself to family use by parent and children together.
