The Hair Care Guide by Antidotestreet.com

Hey, Thanks for your order on Antidotestreet.com. I hope you love it. Helping you find your antidotes seriously makes us BUZZ. The word, ‘Antidote’ literally means something that makes an unwanted condition better. When creating Antidote Street, we visualised a digital space, packed full of the very best hair care products, valuable advice and an excellent customer service. We are 100% committed to elevating the hair care experience for YOU. We know that trying to figure out hair care can be daunting – particularly if you have afro, curly or multi-textured hair. So, we’ve put our expertise to good use and broken it all down to four, simple steps! Yes, really! It’s as simple as Moisturise, Wash, Deep Condition and Trim. We like to think of these as the basics, which of course you can adapt as you get to know your hair. No matter where you are on your healthy hair journey, we hope you find this useful. WinnieWith love, x

MOISTURISE

‘EVERY OTHER DAY’ Moisturise your hair every other day. This doesn’t need to be a ceremony - just a simple top up. Apply your fave moisturiser from root to tip, focusing on your ends - the driest part of the hair. If you are rocking braids or wigs, you can opt for a moisturising spray which will ensure that the moisture is dispersed evenly and all your follicles get love.

WASH

‘WEEKLY’ Wash your hair once a week to keep the scalp clean. They say, ‘the scalp is like the soil, tend the garden and hair will grow’. Since we are not green-fingered, here’s the cliff notes version, clean scalp = healthy hair. We believe ‘wash day’ should be fun! Sceptical? Join us on Sundays for our #DeepConditioningDancePar ty; w e share tips and routines over some major tracks - all up on our Instagram page. And be sure to tag #AntidoteStreet on your wash day product pics!

DEEP CONDITION

‘BI-WEEKLY’ Make deep conditioning your Best. Friend. Forever. We are very serious about this. Pop on our fave deep conditioner, plastic shower cap and turbo charge the treatment with some steam. We usually tie a cute scarf over the plastic shower cap and then get on with errands on a Sat morning or hit the gym (and use their steam room). It’s our cheeky secret. No one needs to know. If errands and stealth gym trips are not your thing, then pop on your plastic cap and enjoy your fave show on Netflix for about 30 minutes before washing it off. Rinse with cool water. This closes your cuticles, helping you retain moisture for longer. Dry with an old t-shirt and then style as preferred.

TRIM

‘QUARTERLY’ As counterintuitive as it may seem, trims actually help the hair to grow! Trim off split ends or straggly ends as these usually lead to more knots in the hair and also tend to be the weakest link when styling the hair. Every quarter or so, it is worth checking into a salon for a nice all round trim. Your freshly-trimmed hair will feel bouncier and healthier. Styles look better too without those straggly ends in the way! Follow these four steps and you’ll be well on your way to healthier, happier hair. You already know where to find your products.
