About Us 3 madebywave is a hand crafted beach and travel accessories label that celebrates living an authentic life in colour.   Founded by Victoria Bakir, a former travel writer and journalist, the brand blends traditional Indonesian craftsmanship with the modern aesthetics of a global traveller.   madebywave was born on a trip across Indonesia. As a true beach and fashion aficionado, Victoria was inspired to combine traditional craftsmanship with contemporary lifestyle aesthetics. The desire to create ‘a must-have piece’ took her on an incredible journey  across  the Indonesian islands in search of far-flung destinations where traditional craftsmanship is still an integral part of the community.   madebywave is proud to create must-have accessories and transitional pieces for every global traveller to enjoy.
