New Leader Onboarding Program- Concept Document Prepared by: Organizational Development August 17, 2016

2Onboarding: the practice of organizational socialization.Leadership Onboarding:: the practice of helping new employees acquire the necessaryknowledge, skills, and behaviors to become effective organizational leaders.Concept OverviewNHS will welcome new leaders into the organization and their new roles by engaging newleaders in a self-directed, holistic learning program that is designed to foster independenceand accelerate performance. Through various learning strategies new leaders will beexposed to both operational and developmental streams over a 12 month period. Theonboarding program is anchored to our strategic plan and begins connecting the leader tothe organization vision and strategic plan. Niagara Health is undergoing cultural shifts inhow we think, how we work, and most importantly how we act. The program assists theleader with socializing within the organization and examining how we do things at NiagaraHealth.Program Objectives:1.
