EDUCATIONAL AND PRACTICAL BASE \"CHIMGAN\" IN TIAN-SHAN MOUNTAIN On the educational and practical base \"Chimgan\" students engage with gathering medicinal plants, drying, preparing raw materials and ready - made products. They are brought to the institute's laboratory. In the laboratory, students obtain active substances of medicinal products from herbal plants and carry out research work on the developing medicinal forms.
The Scientific Centre on the Standardization of Medicinal Preparations The Scientific Centre on medicinal preparations standardization equipped with up-to-date apparatus has been organized in the Institute. The main directions of the centre are: the remedies quality control, their standardization, studying specific pharmacological properties, conducting pre-clinical researches, working out the normative-technical documentations for remedies registration on the territory of Uzbekistan. For the short period of time about 10 preparations have been applied into production.
SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH WORK The main directions of research activities in Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute correspond to the prior lines of pharmaceutical industry development and are concerned with the following scientific problems solving: • Creation of medicines on the basis of local herbs and medicinal plants and introducing them into practice. • Development of new advanced technologies for generic medicines creating. • Improvement of pharmaceutical and toxicological analyses methods. • The marketing and economic analyses of the medicines and medical equipment registered in Uzbekistan • Studying physiologically active agents and dietary supplements and degree of their possible toxicity. 714 works, including the 172 articles and 539 theses, 8 monographs, 3 methodical manuals were published by results of the researches conducted by scientific stuff of the institute in last year. The staff of institute has obtained 4 patents for the invention, 6 patents’ validity period is prolonged, 10 invention applications are claimed to the Agency of intellectual property.
PRIORITIES OF SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY OF THE INSTITUTE: 1. Creation and implementation to medical practice original medicines on the basis of local medicinal plants and coordination compounds; 2. Development of new advanced technologies of introduced generic drugs; 3. Improvement of methods of pharmaceutical and toxicological analysis; 4. Marketing and pharmacological analysis of registered medicines and medical products in Uzbekistan; 5. Study pharmaco-toxicology of physiologically active substances and biologically active additives.
