Our students can acquire a deeper sense of their character strength for time?.\" personal growth and independence. The weekend outing on Saturday, October 25, provided an opportunity for the male and female boarders to visit one of the malls in the city. They were able to pick up a few groceries and provisions for themselves, as well as watch a movie in the cinema. The experience, as relived by the students, was fun-filled and exciting. They all look forward to another outing. RESPECT RESPONSIBILITY RESILIENCE

THE REGENT COLLEGE UNIQUE MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME In fulfilment of our educational mandate as in loco parentis, teachers and members of the senior leadership team serve as mentors to work with the students to build strong and trusting relationships where students feel at ease discussing individual learning plans and academic challenges. Our mentors help their mentees in goals-setting and make positive changes. Mentors also monitor students who are placed on the academic watchlist and academic probations and submit a weekly report on their academic progress.

Every year, the month of October is celebrated as breast cancer awareness month. This is done to increase awareness, encourage examination and early detection of the illness. In this issue, we will be dispelling popular myths and countering them with facts.

Myth: \"If I don't have a family history of breast cancer, I can't get it\" Fact: Most people diagnosed with breast cancer, have no family history. Myth: If you maintain a healthy weight, exercise regularly and eat healthily, you don’t have to worry about breast cancer. Fact: Although these behaviors can help lower breast cancer risk, they can’t eliminate it.

Myth: Breast cancer always causes a lump you can feel. Fact: Breast cancer might not cause a lump, especially when it first develops. Myth: Breast cancer only happens to middle-aged and older women. Fact: Younger women can and do get breast cancer, as do men.

Myth: Carrying your cell phone in your bra can cause breast cancer. Fact: There is no evidence of a connection between cell phones and breast cancer, but the safety of cell phones is still being studied (National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2021)
