TRC UPDATE | ALL STUDENTS The events of the past few weeks all over the world have been deeply distressing to us all and our thoughts continue to be with our students, colleagues, and alumni affected by the terrible act of aggression that Ukraine is enduring and the rise in insecurity in Nigeria. As a TRC family and community, we stand together and take care of each other, so please do speak with your teachers or the in-house psychologist, Mrs Susan Liga.
UFP The month of March has been predominantly characterised by the week 10 test, research, science practicals, and preparation for the end of term 2 examinations. To this end, it has been very rigorous doing all of these things at the same time for both teachers and students. The science practicals and research projects are nearing completion for the September Starters, while the January Starters still have term 3 to complete theirs. To have our students fully ready for the examinations, there has been extensive revision exercises and booster classes. We look forward to excellent results at the end of these efforts.
AS/ A-LEVEL Here at The Regent College, our students’ well-being and good performances are our priority. The results and comments from our students confirm this fact. I was privileged to interview a year 2 A–level student of a sixth form school in Tunisia who completed her first year at The Regent College Abuja. Here's what she said: I feel like the A2 programme seems The Regent College compared to this harder for Physics than it was the new school was much better in terms of previous year, the rest seems to be the time you could spend with your less hard or less strenuous in terms teachers. There, we had much more of the workload. chances to interact with our teachers to clarify issues and answer some questions or to ask anything. In my new school, I don't really have time to talk to any of my teachers due to their busy schedules. I also prefer the size of the classes in The Regent, we were a maximum of 8 in a class whereas in this new school we can be up to 20 in a class or more. - Anwari, Anais fMarch, 2022 Volume 4

Also, it is an action for accelerating gender parity. Purple is the colour that symbolizes women internationally. ALUMNI CORNER Hello everyone, my name is Fauziyah Gebi and I am an alumna of TRC. I did the 2-year A-level programme and I would say my time at college was really fun but really tasking at the same time. My teachers were there to help me and of course, the support from my friends and classmates was worthwhile. Life at TRC prepared me for life at the university because now in university I have 2h 40minute classes and at TRC, I had 2-hour classes, so it wasn't hard adjusting at all. Right now I am studying Media & Communications at the University of Guelph-Humber and we take essay writing, analysis, psychology etc; all of which I feel I had adequate preparation for during my A-levels. #CometoTRC
