OR 2117 – Leading Edge DamageG-DOCO British Airways B737 400Whilst preparing to jack the aircraft the RH jack was positioned beneath the RH winginboard leading edge and plugged an airline into the jack.The jack was left unattended, and because the air valve was not fully closed the ramslowly rose and eventually struck into the krueger flap and inboard leading edgecausing considerable damage.Do not leave airlines attached to jack when unattended
Safety Management System UK/E/2177o Rev 3 Safety Notice 88 Mar 2011Aft Fuselage Skin Damaged During Aircraft Jacking During a recent maintenance input the aft fuse skin was damaged during aircraft jacking due to the nose jack being raised more than the main jacks whilst the rear fuse support was still in place.
