AWOKEN

During a harrowing potato famine in 19th century Ireland, the sickly populus live through a detrimental historical and social crisis; bringing a once jovial country to its knees. The pains and horrors of such a dreadful famine seems not to bother our main protagonist, Connor, cheerful even with all the atrocities around him. Yet after the death of his loving Father and the ‘corruption’ of his family, Connor decides to flee; disappointed in the world he once knew and yearning for a better life in treacherous Brittan. Shall he make it big in the empire where the sun never sets? Or shall he be in shackles just like in Ireland.
