102020Community Report.indd 3 The transformation of Las Vegas over the last four years has been incredible to witness and we are so proud to be our city’s Vegas Born team. Las Vegas is now the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World. There is no place like it. As Knights, one of our foundational principles centers around protecting those who cannot protect themselves. To us, that means a steadfast commitment to giving back to our community and using our platform to make a significant, positive and lasting impact on the lives of those in need. Our entire organization embraces these service-oriented values, includ- ing our players, coaches and business staff. Regardless of your age, gender, socioeconomic status or background, hockey is for everyone. We are dedicated to growing our great game in Southern Nevada and we have introduced the sport to thousands of families through our Clark County school programs, introductory hockey programs and Junior Golden Knights programs at City National Arena. We are excited to add to these efforts with our second community hockey facility which is set to be completed in the fall of 2020, Lifeguard Arena in Henderson. The report which follows illustrates the various initiatives and outreach the Vegas Golden Knights and Vegas Golden Knights Foundation have implemented that are making a difference in our city. As I look forward I can assure each and every one of you that despite the challenges and uncertainty we are all facing, we will never give up and never give in. The Knight always advances and never retreats. The best is yet to come. Bill Foley 3 10/27/20 9:26 AM
