PREFACE Food is something which can unite the people universaly.The nostalgi and memories associated with food is inseperable.In times like the lockdowns,one always tends to lookback.This book aims in giving that warm hug for people living aborad or away from family.The main goal is to explore the nostalgia and memories with recipes.10 Recipes with stories and memories associated with it.

1 Chapter 1 Pongal is one of the most important Hindu festivals of India, and is celebrated with much fervour in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. This year, Thai Pongal will be celebrated on the 14th of January 2021. Pongal is a harvest festival celebrated to mark sun’s transition towards north (Uttarayan). Celebrated in the auspicious month of Thai (10th month of Tamil calendar), Pongal is one of the most important Hindu festivals of India, and is celebrated with much fervour in the southern state of Tamil Nadu. 1
