VISWANATHAN President - Delphi TVS Viswanathan (Vish, as he is more commonly known in industry circles) is a Chartered Accountant with a degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA in Marketing. He is Bachelor in General Law and a Certified Information Systems Auditor. He started his career with Spic as a Management Trainee and went on to head the finance function for one of the group companies. He was Director (Finance and Business Planning) In Visteon India and subsequently served as the Country Managing Director for 7 years. During this period, he led the growth of Visteon into one of the largest auto component companies in India, setting up new plants and expanding existing ones as well as launching various new products and growing the customer base. He was also instrumental in the development of a global engineering centre and a global back office. He later joined the Sanmar Group, where he served as the Deputy Managing Director responsible for five of their joint ventures with leading global companies manufacturing a range of process equipment. In the year 2018, he joined as President of Delphi-TVS, a joint venture between TVS group and BorgWarner, one of the largest global automotive component companies. He has served on the National Executive Committees of various Chambers of Commerce including the American Chamber of Commerce, and the Capital Goods Committee of CII. He is currently on the National Executive Committee of the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), apart from being on the Executive Committee of the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI). He is also a member of the Governing Board of the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). Nominated on several Government Committees and Panels such as : State Manufacturing Competitiveness Committee, Consultative Committee of the Government of Tamil Nadu Consultative Panel for Industrial Development constituted by the State Planning Commission Regional Consultative Committee on Accounting Standards constituted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
