NAMO Yoga, which is based on biomechanics of the human body, was developed by Om NamoOwner Santosh Karmacharya to thoughtfully account for the ways in which our bodies have acclimatedto 21st-century life. NAMO Yoga is a unique yoga system that prioritizes personalized biomechanicalassessments for optimal stability, safety, and length by emphasizing the health of the spine and jointsand focusing on defying gravity so we can stay upright for longer.Om Namo Center runs a variety of programs, including Kids Yoga, Trauma Informed Mindbody (TIMBo),and Biomechanics. NAMO Yoga instructors teachalignment based on a personal bio-mechanic assessment to help you gain a better understanding ofwhere the compromises are in your body – which muscles are working too hard, which are under-performing, and which have simply checked out. Using this understanding, you can overcome the

ways in which your body compromises by learning optimal skeletal alignment and muscularengagement. Sequences are designed to engage the muscles used for lifting off joints and bones andenable maximum length and extension through fascial structures in each pose. Classes in the NAMOYoga system are offered five days per week – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday– and taught by Santosh, Sally, and Emily. Let your body teach you how to move more mindfully asyour muscle groups begin working in synchronicity. You will take this new body knowledge andstrength into all yoga classes and your daily life. Massage Therapy & Bodywork Massage is an extremely effective way to treat chronic injuries, acute injuries, sports injuries, lower back pain, neck and shoulder tension, headaches, computer related pain, bad posture, tension and stress.AcupunctureAcupuncture is a type of traditional Chinese medicinedating back to 200BCE. Acupuncture aims to correctimbalances in the flow of qi (energy) by stimulation ofanatomical locations on or under the skin calledacupuncture points using thin and painless needles. Reiki Our Reiki masters have been formally trained in the practice of Reiki healing. They are very intuitive and accurate in their ability to detect physical and emotional imbalances. Reiki practice has involved but is not limited to people diagnosed with cancer, terminal illness, children with special needs, elderly, mental and emotional illness, and sports related injuries.

KIDS YOGAResearch has found that yoga for kids boosts concentration, confidence,and overall mental well-being, while also increasing physical flexibility,balance, and strength. Plus, starting kids on yoga early will help them tolearn the healthy and life-long habit of good self-care! IMBo (Trauma Informed Mind Body) The Trauma Informed Mind Body (TIMBo) program is for people from all walks of life who would benefit from gaining skills and tools to enhance their emotional and physical well-being, and to more skillfully regulate their coping responses to stimuli and stress. Currently offering women’s and veterans’ (men and women) sessions. Biomechanics and Physiology for the 21st Century Body Biomechanics helps us to understand how the body functions when the muscles are working together in harmony and what happens when muscles become compromised and are out of equilibrium. We examine how shifts in cultural norms at work and home over the past fifty years have created our 21st-century bodies and explore common problems we face when walking, sitting, standing, and breathing. Using hands-on exercises, we learn to see and feel the movements of the body with an emphasis on feeling where natural movements are restricted.

Yoga Workshops We offer an ongoing and ever-changing roster of workshops for people with a variety of interests and needs. Tai Chi Dharma Voyage Tai Chi is a journey into knowledge about our mind, our body, and our connection to natural energy through a vibrant method of practice rooted in ancient arts.
