Indian Institute of Management Jammu Summer School (FDP) On Tools & Techniques For Managing Supply Chains A Programme for Educators/ Researchers/ Professionals May 02-06, 2022

ABOUT his Summer School (FDP) programme of the Indian Institute of Management Jammu, India (IIMJ) aims THE Tat the holistic professional development of faculty PROGRAMME members of business schools, universities, colleges, technical and professional institutes ; in the area of Operations & Supply Chain Management. The programme titled Tools & Techniques for Managing Supply Chains is an online programme that aims to provide an awareness of the advanced topics in the specialized area along with a hands-on experience through Python/R and excel on trending tools and techniques in the area of the supply chain. The programme will be offered from May 02 to 06, 2022. FOR WHOM The programme is designed for educators and researchers associated with business schools, universities, colleges, technical and professional institutes, either working or willing to work in the area of operations and supply chain management. The programme is also open for individuals teaching in staff training colleges, training centres of industrial organizations, and staff training institutes of central and state governments that teach operations management and allied subjects. It is particularly suited for educators, researchers, and entry-level industry professionals willing to strengthen their understanding of current trends in the supply chain and acquire the know-how of developing optimization models and problem- solving approaches using Python/ R and excel. PROGRAMME CONTENTS The Summer School (FDP) Programme on Tools & Techniques for Managing Supply Chains will provide training to demonstrate cutting-edge topics in the supply chain. The indicative list of topics is: Basics of supply chain and distribution optimization. Network design optimization . Predictive modelling for demand. Inventory analytics . Transportation planning and optimization. Vehicle routing and last-mile delivery models. Hands-on experience using python and excel . PEDAGOGY The programme relies on a variety of learning settings like class discussions, cases and hands-on exercise approach towards learning. There is an emphasis on real life problem based discussion and hands-on experience of teaching and learning. Other educational methods such as lectures, group exercises and presentations are also used. Computers, statistical tools and audio-visual aids complement these methods. Participants are encouraged to develop higher order of understanding in the specialized area. The programme requires a high level effort from the participants in terms of individual preparation as well as working in groups.

RESOURCE PERSONS Resource Persons for the programme include experts from industry, and faculty members from IIM Jammu and similar institutions. CERTIFICATION Award of the certificate of completion of the programme is subject to the participant maintaining regularity and meeting the necessary attendance requirement during the programme. PROGRAMME SCHEDULE The candidates need to complete the application process on or before the last date as given below. The selected candidates must pay the fees on or before the last date as mentioned. HOW TO REGISTER Applications shall be made and accepted purely online. Application/Registration form and payment link are available online . Applicants must register for the programme of their choice or the one(s) they are nominated for, in 'PartA' using the Registration/Payment Link. Ÿ Sponsoring Authorities: If an applicant is sponsored by their employer/institution, 'Part B' of the form must be completed by the sponsoring authority before the application deadline, using the Registration /Payment Link. Participants/Sponsors are required to register and pay before the afore mentioned last date for application/payment of fees (refer the programme schedule). Requests for extension of time to join the programme will not be entertained.
