AIR TRANSPORT 5 INTRODUCTION:  Transport industry has gained vital place in the global network system and is one of the most important components of tourism infrastructure.  The development of air transport mostly occurred after World War 1st and 2nd.  There are two types of airlines viz., scheduled and chartered.  Scheduled airlines operate at regular schedules.  Chartered airlines or non scheduled airlines operate only seasons. www.cuidol.in Unit-11 (BTT 102) All right are reserved with CU-IDOL

AIRLINE 6  An airline is a company that provides air transport services for travelling passengers and freight.  Airline utilize aircraft to supply these services, and may form partnerships or alliances with other airlines for code share agreements.  Generally, airline companies are recognized with an air operating certificate or license issued by a governmental aviation body.  Airlines are classified by their routes and by their schedules.
