CAPSTONE PROJECT: Notepad Using: *Basics of Java

Problem Statement Description of the problem is: To create your own notepad clone using Java with multiple features such as: File, Edit, and help in the Navigation Panel.

Objectives Purpose of this project The purpose of this project is to get hands-on experience in applying Java technologies, Such as basic concepts of Java in order to design Your own notepad.

Application Requirements What you should ensure… 1. It should accept user input texts. 2. It should contain features such as File, Edit, and Help. 3. It should allow the user to save, print, copy, and paste any text. 4. It should also contain features like opening and editing files.

Tools Requirements What you should have… 1. JDK (1.8) 2. IDE: NetBeans 3. Java EE Version 8 4. Oracle or My SQL as DB 5. Glassfish Server / Tomcat Server

Guidelines Steps or hints to solve this project The steps to develop this project: 1. Create a new project with the class. 2. Making of the Notepad class. 3. Making of the About class. 4. Customizing the Application. 5. Customizing the Action Listeners.

Learning Outcome What you gain out of this project: ❑ Hands-on Experience with Java ❑ Abstracting Window toolkit in Java ❑ Producing a java GUI application. ❑ Understanding the use of various components such as Jframe, Jtext, Jbutton, etc.
