Thereare different types of electricity or electrical energy; low voltage, high voltage, static electricity,alternating current, direct current, and so on. This course is designed to make you more aware ofelectrical safety. It’s important to understand how electricity works and preventing shocks.Approximately 15 MinutesBloodborne PathogensThis course is designed to provide an understanding of bloodborne pathogens, modes oftransmission and methods of prevention. Bloodborne pathogens training is required if you anticipatecoming in contact with blood or other potentially infectious material as part of your job duties. Healthcare facilities require bloodborne pathogen training and exposure plan. In addition to health carefacilities, industrial nurses, first aid providers, emergency responders can also be exposed tobloodborne pathogens and require training. Proper procedure in disposal of contaminated materialsis discussed.Approximately 30 MinutesBucket Truck SafetyBucket trucks are also known as aerial lift trucks. This equipment is used in every industry andcomes with risks and hazards. Bucket trucks are used to elevate personnel to tasks above theground. Serious injuries and deaths have occurred in construction, mining, tree trimming, publicworks and fire fighting. Common falls and electrocution are the hazards when operating thisequipment. This course focuses on safe operation of the bucket truck.Approximately 15 Minutes 75

Commercial Mower Safety Commercial Mower Safety program focuses on the safety features of this equipment, maintenance and accident prevention tips. The same, if not more caution should be exercised when operating a mower as driving an automobile. The reason for the caution is quite obvious - mowers are dangerous if you don’t follow proper procedures and safety rules. When you do follow the rules, mowers are great labor saving devices and they are safe to use. Most safe operating rules and instructions apply whether you’re using a riding mower or a walk-behind mower. Approximately 15 Minutes Forklift Operator Safety The Forklift Operator Training program reviews the engineering principles, safe operating procedures and maintenance of forklifts. - A forklift operator’s job is to move material efficiently and quickly. Persons operating a forklift must be trained and authorized by the company before being assigned to operate a forklift. It is important to understand the engineering principles of the forklift equipment. Speeding and violating safety procedures can result in damages and injuries. Approximately 30 Minutes Hazardous Energy Source The purpose of lockout/tagout is to prevent machinery or equipment from unexpected startup or release of hazardous energy while machinery is being serviced. The lockout/tagout program does not include cord and plug connected equipment. This course can also be called Control of Hazardous Energy because when you lockout/tagout, the purpose is to control all hazardous energy of the machine or equipment. This course focuses on procedures for lockout/tagout with emphasis on safety. Major requirement for anyone working with machinery and other processes. Approximately 30 Minutes Heat Stress During summertime, the risk of heat illness or dying of over-exposure from the effects of heat becomes greater. Workers whose jobs are outside are at risk as well as professional athletes. This program talks about heat cramps, heat exhaustion, heat stroke and prevention of these heat-related illnesses. Irrigation SafetyThis short training course is only part of your training. Your supervisor will provide additional trainingand will be able to answer any questions you may have about the job or about safety. This particulartraining course is designed to provide basic safety information relating to irrigation and irrigationpipes. This course is quite important because there have been injuries because workers did not knowor they did not follow the safety rules when working around irrigation equipment.Approximately 15 MinutesLadder SafetyLandscape workers have a lot of responsibility maintaining parks, highways and other areas thatprovide enjoyment for a large number of people. They are also responsible for fire safety in theseareas. The equipment, chemicals and techniques used can be hazardous. This course focuses onsafety awareness in landscape maintenance.Approximately 15 MinutesLandscape Maintenance SafetyLandscape workers have a lot of responsibility maintaining parks, highways and other areas thatprovide enjoyment for a large number of people. They are also responsible for fire safety in theseareas. The equipment, chemicals and techniques used can be hazardous.
