All juniors must obtain Junior Golf Certification prior to using any part of the facility without the accompaniment of an adult. Juniors may receive beginning instruction and learn course etiquette at Junior Clinics before taking the Certification Clinic, during which a take home test is given on the Rules of Golf, Rules of Play, and course etiquette. The test also includes a playing ability test which is by appointment only with a golf profes- sional. The test consists of playing five holes with 10 strokes or less per hole. Students who pass the certification test will receive a Certified Junior Golfer Big Canyon bag tag and have use of the golf course for play and practice without adult supervision. In addition, their name will be listed in The Approach newsletter. Clinics are offered twice each year. Preregistration is required. $40 per golfer.
