IBN ROSHD AL JAZIRAH SCHOOL Back to School Life during the COVID-19 pandemic is difficult for parents and children alike. The return to school is an important and hopefully welcome step Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah school is balancing the educational, social and emotional needs of their students along with the health and safety of students and staff in the midst of the evolving COVID-19 pandemic. Our School has established some classroom ground rules in accordance with the procedures established by our school’s administration, as well as the protocols established by our respective Ministry of Health authorities. IBN ROSHD AL JAZIRAH KG ACTIVITIES Importance of kindergarten education Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah School provides our kindergarten students with an opportunity to learn and practice the essential social, emotional, problem-solving, and study skills that they will use throughout their schooling. The development of self-esteem is one of the important goals of kindergarten. Ibn Rohd Al Jazirah School Kindergarten classes are designed to expand your child’s development in key areas. Children have a strong sense of wellbeing by being involved in physical activity, learning practice and resilience and being provided with opportunities to strengthen decision-making skills. Children are confident and involved learners where they are challenged and inspired to explore. NEWSLETTER 2ND TERM 2022 INSIGHTS OF KHAN ACADEMY Khan Academy Kids has Teacher Tools to supercharge learning for Kindergarten students. Khan Academy Kids engages in a learning journey designed in collaboration with learning experts at Stanford University, and aligned with the Common Core State Standards. Students love the engaging, interactive, and fun learning experience, quickly endearing themselves to the five characters and their diverse interests. With the help of the guide character Kodi bear, students can navigate the app completely independently. And rest assured, everywhere students tap leads to an educational experience. TERM 2 NEWSLETTER 2022 IBN ROSHD AL JAZIRAH BOOK DONATION Ibn roshd al jazirah had organized a book donation event and By donating books you give other people the opportunity to discover for themselves that ONE book that could change their life. Passing on your books to someone else is the simplest way to spread the spirit of reading. Studies have shown that giving wholeheartedly translates to personal happiness. In donating books you make other people happy as you make yourself happy. Donating a book in good shape is better than burning it; this will prevent air pollution from gases that burning books produce. Instead of burning old clothing that you no longer use, give them out as donations as well. PAGE 9 NEWSLETTER

TERM 2 NEWSLETTER 2022 Math Mathematics is a fundamental part of human thought and logic, and integral to attempts at understanding the world and ourselves. Mathematics provides an effective way of building mental discipline and encourages logical reasoning and mental rigor. In addition, mathematical knowledge plays a crucial role in understanding the contents of other school subjects such as science, social studies, and art. Science Introducing students to science at a young age assists in their brain development. Doing science experiments helps to develop a child's resourcefulness, particularly their skills at goal- setting, planning, and problem-solving. IBNSRTEOASMHDPARLOJJAEZCITRSAH Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah do STEAM projects to give students a chance to engage in hands-on, experiential learning. Students are often using different materials and tools in order to discover how something works, how to build it, and how to fix it. Using art in STEAM projects helps students understand how varied the arts are, and how they’re an integral part of products that involve engineering, technology, and mathematics. The arts can help increase engagement in STEAM projects since students can connect artistic mediums that they enjoy. STEAM is important because it teaches critical thinking skills and instills a passion for innovation. Beyond the benefit of learning science, technology, Art, engineering, and math, STEAM assists in the problem-solving and exploratory learning that fuel success across a variety of tasks and disciplines. FOUNDING DAY Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah School celebrated Fou nding day in the auditorium. Founding Day celebrates the historical and cultural depth of Saudi Arabia and commemorates when Imam Mohammed bin Saud established the first Saudi state in the Hijri year 1139, or February of 1727AD. IBN ROSHD AL JAZIRAH PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah organized a meeting betwe en parent and the teacher to talk about their child's learning and progress. We also did a Parent teacher conference survey. Our main objective for parent teacher meetings is u sually to identify their child's current strengths and weaknesses in the school. Parent teacher meetings provide parents, teachers, and students with an excellent opportunity to communicate and, if all three make an effort to engage in the process, this communication can lead to clearer goals and more active and successful learning. School Survey Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah school did a survey in order to help gauge the representativeness of individual views and experiences about the school staff. The goal of this survey was to collect and understand parent opinions, perspectives, attitudes, and perceptions towards the school, their students, and education in general in order to improve the learning environment in general or specific ways. By assessing both parents’ current thoughts on the climate of the school and staff feelings about parent involvement, Our school can get a better idea of how they need to improve. PAGE 22 NEWSLETTER

Cognia Ibn Roshd Company is striving to achieve the COGNIA STEERING accreditation from Cognia. The company and COMMITTEE MEMBERS schools are working hard for this process all through this year. NEWSLETTER 2ND TERM 2022 IBN ROSHD AL JAZIRAH OFFICIAL NEWSLETTER Highlights of Third Term Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah Roles & Responsibility Student committee Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah student committee primary role is to develop student voice within the school, and to work out how to inspire, engage and involve the whole student body in embracing the creative ideas. Parents committee Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah parents committee primary role is to engage families in the education and development of their children, promote positive change at the school, develop collaborative networks and work together to deliver a calendar of social and school events. Teachers committee Ibn Roshd Al Jazirah teachers committee primary role is to manage teaching activities by coordinating with teachers and to ensure that teaching on school days for all classes are maintained.
